Sounds great. I like simple.
I'd like to chase everyone off and spend the day with the woman who made it all possible.

Pedal over to Nicollet Island with my boy for the Blind Lizard picnic. Drink a little beer, smoke a cigar, look at some cool motor and pedal bikes.

Looks like the crew will be gathering at my home. Some bbq brisket and chicken, slaw, potatoes, ice cream, key lime pie, watching the grandsons (4.5 and almost 1) entertain us in the backyard.
However, it all depends on the weather-we may be getting some much needed rain in the afternoon so it'll the kids and dogs running amuck inside instead LOL.

I have no children, my grandfathers passed years ago, and my dad died in 2015. Pop made it to 1 day short of his 87th birthday, so I had him for 63 years. I'll probably have a shot of Crown Royal in his honor, because he always kept it at home for medicinal purposes (really and truly, normally he didn't drink alcohol at all).

I'm raising my grandson and his birthday happens to fall on fathers day this year (he's turning 15). I bought him a .30-06 as a gift so we'll probably go to the range and let him break it in. Then I'll grill up some ribs for supper.

My Wife makes me a GREAT breakfast on Father's Day. Her special Pancakes (she won't tell anyone her secret recipe) Bacon, and maybe a scrambles egg or two. With some luck, maybe a bottle of Special Sinatra Single Barrel Select Jack from the Kids with a great Cigar out by the pool. After that, maybe a Porter House on the grill with some baked potatoes and Asparagus (but I always do the grilling ) and maybe another sip of the Sinatra.
After that, well see what Mrs. Chief38 has in mind!

Since our oldest Daughter has to work Sunday, (she is a ICU charge nurse), we celebrated today. Went to the range and shot pistols, then to the LGS, then to the local Longhorns steak house for lunch. Had a wonderful time.
Have a blessed day,
Leon

I would like to stay home and do nothing but two sons are taking us out, so I will have a bowl of steamers and some fried clams and wash them down with a few cold ones.

My 92 year old Dad was out brush hogging on the 6th and rolled his tractor into a 12 foot deep gully. Broke his collar bone and a couple of ribs. Doc told him to keep off the tractor for a few weeks so we will take some kind of dinner over to his house first. A little shooting later with my brother, then some beer.

At 73, I'm the Alter Server in Church this Sunday followed by dinner and a few Jamison's at my daughter's home. It'll be a good day.

After all these years of being married.....
and getting real old................
I want to have some real big, fresh Scallops, on the table.
Just sounds like a good idea.
Either at the house or out.

This year, Fathers day and my birthday fall on the same day. But I have an all day USPSA match on Sunday so my son is taking us out for dinner Saturday night (after I get back from setting up Sundays match). This will be my first outdoor match since bypass surgery in March. (I get off restrictions tomorrow). Will be interesting to see how much rust has built up on my shooting.

Zilch. My kids are 450 and 600 miles away, and my daughter and her two youngest were here for a visit yesterday, on their way to Florida to visit family. My dad and my brother are both dead. Just another day, but that's okay.
I'll probably cook a pot of chili and make some bread. I ain't hard to please.

I’m hoping to celebrate all weekend. I couldn’t find anyone to kayak with, so just shooting tomorrow afternoon with my father in law. I’m supplying the guns and ammo. Sunday we will be grilling and swimming after church. Our four kids are elementary age and younger so it will be pretty lively.
Happy Father’s Day guys!
David.

I just bought a new pellet grill, so I guess I'm gonna have to cook up some kind of meat on Sunday. Out at the rig, the Co. men had bought a Pit Boss grill about a year ago and it's held up well, so I went ahead and bought myself the same model for the house.

I'll be cooking as well out on the grill; T-bones, fresh mushrooms, and peppers. Complimented by garlic potatoes, cucumber salad, and of course my favorite beer, Grain Belt Nordeast.

Church, of course, first. Several years ago, when .22 ammo was fairly scarce, I began giving a 50 round box of .22lr to the Dads who came on Father's Day. I was able to buy some and had some squirreled away so it was a big hit. Remember, I'm in rural Texas.
This year I will do it again and provide AA batteries for those who don't want/need ammo. This is so much better than a sentimental bookmark. Who uses bookmarks anymore?
My oldest son is taking his family of four children to Disney World and my youngest son and his wife were killed in a car accident 5 years ago. Married in July, they were killed in April, so no orphans left, thank the Lord.
I foresee a trip to a local eatery at which we are regulars and well known by the waitstaff and owner. It will be bittersweet, but a wealth of friends acquired over the years helps sustain us.
Happy Father's Day to all here. May it be a day of rich fellowship with family for each of you.
Bro. Dave

Did mine a day early. My Son (who just received confirmation he is on the Army 0-6 promotion list) took me to Colo Springs to our favorite Korean restaurant, had to do Sat as they close on Sundays. Had Jabche and Bulgogi (spelling on both those) can't spell them but I can chow down on them. Great day, great Son.
