Default Eight years later.....

Boy oh boy does time fly by.
Finally got to have the Grand Daughter get to stay with us for a day.
Too may family members in town to visit for a two day stay
with her short time here in Nevada, away from Arizona.

Her bucket list was getting to play with all the other kids and to get
to go fishing with Grand Pa again and try her luck.

I got the fishing rod together and Granma packed a picnic basket
to enjoy in the shade after a hopefully hard few hours of fishing.

Drove up to the pine trees and stream that had trout the last time
she went on a picnic with the wife and kids.
Had a great time catching and releasing LOTS of rainbows and
we had to keep six for her and a few of us to enjoy, tonight.
For the non-fish people we had Stuffed peppers.

Had a little hike in the pine forest and across the stream bridge and
trying to get pictures of the birds and wild life.
Blue Jays, Golden mantles, chipmunks and even a coon off in the distance made for a great day.

Always nice to enjoy time with the kids in our "Golden Years".

Here is a picture of, oh my gosh, a trout !!

I guess we are gonna have to adopt a Granddaughter. :-( Two Grandsons that had rather play video games than do outdoor stuff.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

I can do a credible impression of instant grandpa. Give a kid a can of Mountain Dew, some sugary treats like peanut M&Ms, and a puppy, then send 'em home.

Default You are making memories.....

You are now making memories that the kids will have in the future and it will be tucked on the shelf that's labeled 'Happy Thoughts'

Durn, but we have some beautiful little girls here and the boys I've seen are just as delightful.

I lack two things. A daughter and a grandchild. Though I'm an honorary grandpa to the little boys of a girl we helped get through some rough time. And given a few more years my boy will probably 'reproduce' so I just have to be patient.

I don't think they will let you do that. Something about having to pay heavy dues for about 20 years is and unwritten requirement.

Can you RENT Grandchildren?
