Local guy has a 586 no dash in pristine condition wants $675 Or a trade I have a 629 -6 That I never use and he is interested in a trade ----- I am wondering if I am better paying the cash or doing the swap . I never shoot the 629 so it just sits Any Opinions I have 5 days to give him an answer

Even swap? Jump on it. As far as money goes, no-dash 586s go for a premium around here...I've only seen one in the past year or so...and a good friend of mine bought it. He even sent it back to the factory for a reblue. $675 for one in really good shape would be acceptable around here.

This is my opinion, you understand. Nothing based on recent sales or market trends, okay?

I'd make the trade. 586 no dash has true scarcity and 629-6 has the lawyer lock.

Pay the cash keep the gun. At some point you will regret letting the gun go. Maybe not today, but...

I think a lot would depend on your cash flow situation.

Providing that the condition of each gun is the same the value is about equal. If you prefer to shoot .357 and your friend likes the .44 it almost sounds like a no brainer to me. Swap, shoot and enjoy !

I am leaning to the direct swap I don't use the 629 except to do Pumpkin shoots so why not move on
