Default Black F150 & Magnetism

It's good to know I've been doing it "right", and black has always been my favorite truck color. On the other hand, it's a bit of a letdown knowing that all these years it wasn't "me". It was my Black F150. LOL!!!

“A full-size truck implies that you can fix a leaky pipe. Regular $100 fill-ups suggest that you're not money-obsessive. And regular $100 fill-ups also suggest that you regularly have $100.”

“A truck-drivin' man is a manly man through and through. And a majority of women (53 percent) chose black as the most attractive vehicle color.”

"The Ford F-series, led by the highly successful F-150, has been America's best-selling truck. The Ford F-150 pickup truck may be the ultimate chick magnet."

Whilst in finishing school, I sold my gas-guzzling 442 and got this. Hippy girls could not resist it.

Ya gotta fish with the right bait.

My friend had one with the V-8 and 4 speed. Quick enough to beat up on a lot of more expensive cars. Last I saw of it it was rusting away out in the swamp.

I had a red and white '62 F-100 unibody, big back window. Fat tires and glass packs.

I parked in front of the local watering hole on my way home from work one day. That was the day I met a new bartender, my future wife.

She always told everyone that she fell for my truck first and 5 seconds later when I got out of it she knew she wanted me too. I was clueless.

Good times.

Rusty, I had a 74 model that had the hockey stick stripe down the side. It was a pretty cool car too. Did you know you can put a cut down 55 gallon drum with a 16 gallon keg in the back of a Gremlin?

Be sure to have the flexible hose spout on the keg though.

" Black F150 & Magnetism"

I initially thought the thread would be about Ford's aluminum F150.

My experience is once a girl hits about 24 and a half chicks are attracted to guys with one butt cheek bigger than the other. That means dude has a fat wallet.

Interesting that you posted this.

My conservative, Bible College Grad, Sunday School teaching wife, went with me when it was time to buy my new truck.

I was considering a silver or white truck thinking it would be cooler here in the sunbelt. She INSISTED that it be black. INSISTED. "Black is a manly color." she exclaimed.

When I put the larger tires and wheels on it (certainly didn't let her know before hand), coming home, and dreading her response, I pulled into the yard. She just happened to be walking out from the garage. "Here come the rocks" I thought to myself. "That is one bad (you know what) truck!" she shouted with a big smile.

All this is very confusing, but in this case, I can live with her mindset. Usually, I can't.

You can't use one of those magnetic key holders up inside the fender on one.

Black vehicles just look continually grubby in the desert because of the dust.

I love Black cars and trucks when they are clean - that lasts for about a half hour - LOL!! It seems you can never keep 'em clean, but for the times they are - they are awesome!

My truck is silver. It wouldn't have been my first color choice but after having it for a while I learned it really doesn't show dirt like a white or black truck. It has to get pretty muddy before it looks bad. My wife doesn't think I need a chick magnet anyway.

I know what you mean, I can't leave the house without some chick trying to climb up in the cab with me everywhere I go, I'm thinking about getting a Vette like my older brother to drive like all the other old men just so they'll leave me alone! Hahaha!

My Full Size SUV is Diamond Pearl White. Certainly NOT the most exiting color but I intend on keeping it a long time and wanted a color that would be easy to maintain, doesn't show dirt to obviously, easy to repair scratches, and always looks good if maintained properly. I did not care for the plain White in such a large SUV, so I went with the Diamond Pearl version.

I'm too fussy a person for Black!

Unique truck, as in I haven’t seen a regular cab F150 other than a work truck on any dealer parking lot.Very nice.

All my buds drive new F150 regular cab, short beds. With the light weight aluminum body and the Coyote 5.0 V8, they are factory hotrods.

Mine is rated at 385 HP and it weights about 1000 pounds less than that Dodge posted above.

I have a 2018 F-150 that has the 395 HP 5.0 litre Coyote engine (love that engine with the 10-speed transmission!). I know, it's blue, not black, but I also have a black Mustang if that helps!

Personally. I've always liked V8's instead of six bangers.
