With 2 boys in college.... it's why we're not building the house first!!!!!

The Carriage House will give us a 2 bedroom apt so we can enjoy the lake property..... and when we build the "retirement house" it can be 2 bedrooms and a bath smaller... ..... that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

We got lucky on the land.... a nice undeveloped (just over an acre) lot.... last year on a private 400 acre lake.Back in the 1960s there were about a half dozen lakes built in W Pa. My guess is that with all the 'environmental" rules and regs...... there won't be anymore lake property developed in the US.

I wonder if Les and Brad are meeting at a secret location to corner the market on 1917 S&Ws? We will miss you. Ollie I am always interested in Police memorabilia. Please bring it all. The basket weave set is within reach right now. Larry I'm looking for a 38/44 HD, or a 520, or 13 or 65, in case you "know a guy." Chili and beans this year for you gourmands.

Too bad Brad, hope it rains again and they call you to not meet on Saturday. Good table buddies are hard to find. Heck, Les b is a new guy and it would be great if he returned, would sit & talk, not at the last minute like last time. Glad George is returning and Dave from PA. Had some people respond that they will not make it. Not sure how many to expect, will find out Saturday.

Looks like under 10 at Chillies so far, Larry

Long time lurker on the forum. I will be attending with a buddy. Hoping to see and learn about the Model 41 if anybody has one to show.
I might have a Victory revolver to sell. I have only fired it a few times. Might be time to have somebody else become the caretaker of this revolver.

Good to see a few more heading to the Bunch. S2 was here a few yrs back. Neo, hope you have fun. If anyone is bringing something that requires toothpicks, don’t buy any. I have a big collection of them.

The club has 20-8 ft tables and at times I panicked that we would need more. I’m not bringing the 3 I own, seems the 20 was all we needed so far. If we need to, everyone could squeeze together.

Bring a comfortable lawn chair to sit in just in case the chairs run out. It’s real close, Larry

Getting anxious for Saturday to get here. I'm bringing a Model 66 six inch and a 642 Airweight for sale/trade along with grips, holsters and some misc. items. I'm also bringing some Police gear and items to sell for my Brother who is now disabled. We're bringing our usual tray of small sandwiches which always go quick. I'm also bringing Wyatt along. It's good that he's going to be able to make it as it's been a while since he was able to attend. I'm also bringing the Pro Series 1911 that I just bought off this forum and a S&W MP revolver that was part of the Lend/Lease program prior to WWII. It's an interesting revolver with British Proof marks and my interest in guns from that era is growing. I hope to see all my Old friends and make some news ones as well. Ollie

Bump to the top. Penny and I will be there, but we have to leave early, as we have a small reunion to attend in the afternoon. Cheese plate is ordered.
Don't have anything to display or sell this time.

Wow, tomorrow nite is the dinner already. Seems the 2 months that passed since the fall meeting was announced went fast!!! Gonna have a ton of grips for sale Sat and abt 5 S&W’s for sale since my table buddy isn’t coming. Need to thin some things out because I keep adding more as time passes.

A friend called and will bring a model 19 and some sort of .38 Outdoorsman with a box. Larry

Oh man it figures. I have a pocket full of money to spend, but unfortunately not on guns. Need it for our New England trip. Now if I knew we were going to win some big money at Turning Stone Casino in New York, I could spend what I have at the Meet.

Bill, you should leave a little of that money in N Olmsted. Think of how much better the drive is when Penny is sleeping and you are thinking of the new gun you bought as you drive.

All of you attending, please be careful driving to N Olmsted tomorrow or Saturday. Be safe, watch out for the other guy. Larry

Good evening all.......
I’m a little late to the game, sorry. I’ll be bringing drinks again (water and a few different types of pop). Glad to see Wyatt is coming back (that cute little lady finally let him off the leash Ollie? ), sorry Brad and Kris won’t be there. Excited to meet the guys coming from New York and other places! Please come up and introduce yourself! I’ll be the best looking guy there! Can’t miss me! You guys think Keith will be there?

Anyway....getting closer! I wanted to come up Friday night, but it ain’t in the cards

Thanks Larry!
Be careful folks.....
Bob

I'm on my way up. I'm in Clarion, PA for the night and getting to my brother's house tomorrow. He's going to check out the local market in Fairport Harbor for mushrooms for me to stuff and bake. Really looking forward to putting faces with the people who post on this bulletin board.

Bob is getting the sandwich ring from Rulli Bros. Plan to display some stuff and hope to meet some new faces.

Would encourage any and all to make the pilgrimage to North Olmstead and meet your fellow forum members. Combination gun show, S&W addicts anonymous (to enable) and extended family reunion.

It’s all coming together, just a few people missing. Getting excited, fun day tomorrow. Just put a bid on a Korth .22 to let them know someone else is there. My 3 1/2” 25-2 is in Fairport Harbor waiting to be refinished, nice little town. Larry

I apologize for my absence, been in WV closing up our rv for the winter, no internet access. My brother and I will not be able to attend the dinner party but will be at the meeting.

Please stop by to say hello and introduce yourself. We shouldn't be too hard to find. Just look for the table with nothing but prelock 3" N frames. Always happy to answer any questions and share information regarding hand cannons.

Best regards, Bob.

Looks like Jerry from Michigan may be in some rain on his way here. Too bad Mike, you live so close.

Good news, got a PM from Moonman and he is OK. Just not shooting as much lately. Thought something happened to him.

All I need to pack is the guns later tonight when I get home. Roger sure gets excited when the Bunch is here. His sloppy joe’s are good. Larry

I have everything packed up and ready to go, I think. As usual, I am behind schedule. Didn't have time to mock up my display and had to print out a couple of placards by hand. My father says that I will be late for my own funeral, not really a bad thing in my estimation LOL!!! I will do my best to arrive early in case Larry needs any help setting up. Between my brother and I we have two good shoulders. See you all in the morning.

Best regards, Bob.

Everything packed except for firearms, trunk full of daylily give-aways. Gonna dread getting up,as usual for the 'bunch' because of lack of sleep.

Well, I left home in plenty of time to get there and be early. Whatever I hit on I70 had other plans. The Corvette is down now with a minimum of a blown out tire and need for 4 wheel alignment. I just hope that is the only damage. Sorry I didn't make it this time. By the time the flat bed dropped the car off where I hope it can be fixed up good as new, it was already past 8am.
On the plus side I didn't get hurt and I wasn't the only one on the side of the road with blown tires.
I hope everyone had a great time and maybe I can get there next time.
Best wishes.

Joni,I hope all goes well in the end for you and the vette.
Seemed like a good 'bunch' today, always looked busy.
Thanks to all that took daylilies,I didn't want to take any back home so it worked out. Next 'bunches' I'll be bringing hostas.
Only negative surprise was no 'pastry' to take home. The last 'bunch' I was consuming 'bunch pastries' for 3 weeks. But I did 'pig out' on some of the chocolate cupcakes (among other things).
Gotta start working on the pictures now, after a nap.

Well I'm back from the Lake ..... good thing I went ..... they were centering between the cottages (buildings) across the road but not on the property line. 20 ft difference.... on the property line w/ each having a 10" set back my 6' window will never be blocked.

Joni...... glad you are OK any idea what happened on 70????????

Looking forward to Oldman10mm pics...................

Thanks. No idea what was on the road that I hit and it was very dark out so I didn't even consider walking back to see if I could find out. I was afraid of becoming roadkill as it was.

Joni, sorry to hear of your misfortune, glad to hear that it wasn't much worse.

Food was over the top, Old_Cop's chili, pharman's sloppy joe's, Jeff's moose stew, Golddollar's stuffed mushrooms, the pies, sandwiches, peppers, keilbasa and potatoes, desserts and more. The effort was noticed and appreciated!

Bob picked up a Model 31-1 .32 S&W Long that appeared unfired.

I had a great time talking with Randy and Jeff, 19 6" and Robert with his Scandium display.

Thanks to oldman10mm, for the Norma 10mm ammo and daylilies, I have two kidney shaped flower beds that they will do well in.

Thanks for all that came to make a most enjoyable fall day!

First, glad you’re OK Joni. Had to be scary, give us a report on the Corvette damage.

Good day in North Olmsted, unofficially close to 70 people were there. Had some return which was great and had some new people. Hope the new ones had fun. Everyone came hungry and most of the food was gone, good job. First time I had moose stew. It was great to see everyone and glad Jim and his sense of humor returned. He helped me early on building the Bunch to what it is. Glad he survived the heart attack, looked good.

Thanks to everyone that helped set up and take down & clean up. Hope everyone got home safely, lot of rain in the area. Everyone seemed to be happy when they left, glad they had a good time. Denny wil post pictures as soon as he gets up from a nap, thanks Denny.

Matt and his Dad sit by the door and handle the people as they walk in. Matt, BIG THANKS to you and your father for handling the electronic end of the group.

Figured I could relax tomorrow, went shopping with the wife when I got home and when we returned there was a fairly big branch from the maple tree laying in the grass in the back yard. Anyone need firewood?? Larry

Thanks. I hope to find out Monday or soon after about it providing it doesn't get striped or stolen while it sits outside at a dealership.

Another one in the record books, thank you Larry and all who helped. Now I have to put away and plant. Our photographer is also a gardener and a coaster rider, right Oldman. I caught up with many people and met other new ones. All went well until I rolled out my cart and flipped off the box containing the remains of the chili. Good thing I have a pickup. For those who missed it, that's why Larry does this twice a year.

I had a great time. I brought a friend and we might have a new convert to Smith and Wesson.
The registered magnum along the wall at the range side, neat to see and letters added to its history.
I got to handle a Model 41, it is on my short list to purchase.
I brought my Victory revolver with the idea I would sell it, but changed my mind and decided to keep it.

Wife and I had great time seen some very nice S&W's, and thanks for the nice words about my Model 19's. Food was unbelievable. Drove in rain all the way home, but we are safe and sound.

This was my first time coming to a NE Ohio Bunch meeting, and I had a great time meeting so many of the people who post here. I went back through some of the posts here so I could match them up with the people I met today. Thanks to everybody for your hospitality to a new guy.
