We had a blast!
Thanks Larry for putting this together. Another outstanding meeting of the "NE Ohio Bunch". My brother and I really look forward to these events.
It gives us an excuse to get out of the house and have a little fun. Always nice to meet some new Smith & Wesson enthusiasts and catch up with some old friends. We enjoy the conversation and friendship, the foods not too shabby either!!
I truly consider it an honor to have the opportunity to display. Not only does it give me the chance to share my passion with others, it allows me the chance to see how my collection has progressed. Until my display Saturday, I didn't know that I had sixteen model 629 snubs.
Hope we can make the next one, always a pleasure to attend.
Best regards, Bob.

The things that caught my attention was the S&W train set,a M10 HB Nickle, and the inexpensive K L N plain grips. I like to strip them,sand/rework them and leave them uncoated. I like the feel of the wood.

Another great get together! It was nice seeing everyone and catching up with Old friends and meeting some new friends. Good to see Jim after an absence and glad to hear that he's doing well after his Heart attack. Couldn't tell by looking at him until he said what happened. Great to see him, Old Cop, Bill Graf, Steve Santa, The Mule, Denny, Roger, Larry and really to many to list. Enjoyed talking with Gold Dollar and hope that he along with all the other first timers return in the Spring for another good time. The food was great as always and loved Old Cop's chili. I found a 19-3 that I didn't know that I needed as well. Denny thanks for the great pics again, hopefully they'll show people that haven't attended what a great time we have at our Get Togethers.

BAM-BAM,it wasn't last time,it was 3 'bunches' prior to the current one. Nobody mentioned the labeling for the prior 2 bunch pictures so I considered that aspect not worth pursuing.

In post #152, I am in Photo #3, in the foreground, left side of the photo, blue and white shirt. Other than my gray-ish hair, can not really see me.

Glad Moonman (Jack) chimed in, he was at the first Bunch. Hope you make it in the spring.
Few stats from Saturday from Matt the electronic expert. There were 63 people there, 17 were first timers. One of them was there before and his info was added again. There are 230 people on the roster, that’s a lot. I was surprised at how many new people came in. Will report soon on the money distribution, Larry

I was on the road all day yesterday so now I'm trying to catch up on the posts. On the way home I stopped at a little gun shop in Grove City, PA run by a young couple. I ended up with a Model 28 Highway Patrolman with thumbrest grips, a Bucheimer holster and a 2X Leupold scope mounted on it. I hope it solidifies my credentials as part of the Forum.

Pictures!! Pictures!!! You know we need pictures!!
Sorry I missed this get together, I was looking forward to meeting more of "The Bunch"... as well as having a member with less seniority than I have!!
Glad you made it home safely. Maybe I'll get to meet you next time.
Best Regards, Les

Golddollar has the right idea, starting to buy more display guns already. We need a range report for the 28 also since it’s scoped!! The wife and I traveled abt 5 1/2-6 hrs to the New Holland area last fall to the E Pa Bunch. Nice area.
It’s a shame that when I pick a date the club has open for a meeting that some people can’t make it. That’s why I try to put it out 2 months early. Les, we’ll get scheduled so you can make it in the spring. Larry

I checked on the maps and it said that from my house to my brother's house in Fairport Harbor it's 374 miles, and then 58 miles from my brother's house to the N. E. Ohio Bunch meeting.

New Holland is 2 counties east of me. Will there be a posting about that meeting?
If you go to New Holland again there is a huge gun shop and indoor range just east of town on PA Route 23 called the Sportman's Shop. I picked up a beautiful Model 41 with a muzzle break that was there as a trade-in.

They didn’t do a meeting this fall, the attendance was down but last spring they had one on the same day as ours. Bob usually ran a thread on the PA meeting here in the lounge and the Collectors lounge. There is a SE Bunch but only advertise it in the Collectors side of the forum. They meet in a Walmart parking lot I believe. If something comes up I will let you know. I opened the NE Ohio Bunch to anyone that likes S&W ‘s. Figured we were all in the same boat and it worked out.
I like the way we all get along even in this thread. We have new friends we met in person and the common link is this forum. That’s cool, never thought the Bunch would grow to what it is now. Glad everyone enjoys the day. Larry

Here they are. I just took the grips off and started to rub an oiled patch on the gun and the gun is immaculate. The action is really great and luckily I have big hands and can handle the grips. The gun shop in Grove City, PA is just off I-80 so it provides a nice stop when I go to northern Ohio and on occasion it gets some really nice stuff.

Breakdown of the money collected. 375.00 total. 63 people times 5.00 = 315.00 and that leaves 60.00 in the donation bucket. Gonna send the FURUM where we all met and talk a check for 135.00. The next check is for N Olmsted Sportsman club where we get to get together a check for 115.00.
Since so many people have lost so much in the recent Hurricanes I’m sending the Red Cross 125.00 in the name of the group. They seem like a safe organization and help the storm victims in many ways. So many Red Cross volunteers help without any pay. Hope you all agree with this donation.
Gonna be a long cold winter till we meet in the spring, everyone stay safe and warm. Will see some of you at gun shows but we will be able to talk here on the forum. Larry

Berea Sunday,Mansfield Saturday. Logistically,no easy road from Mansfield to Cedar Point so Sunday I could do Berea,go home and then do Cedar Point for the late afternoon/early evening.

I may go in the morning depends on the weather. I want to go just to look around and get my walking in. I'll look for you if I go.

Hi guys; Well I ran into what I felt was a decent price on a Victory 22 semi auto yesterday. It was our 21st anniversary and I bought it. After wife got done with her objection I am not sure it was a good deal after all.

How'd everyone/anyone do at Berea today ?
I went to Mansfield. Round trip 3 hours driving 180 miles. Good show,no empty tables, large crowd. Of the 3 pistols I took to sell/dump,sold the 9s',a 5946 and a 3953. I might do Berea tomorrow morning, need report(s) on todays' Berea show !

Berea got crowded in the building off Bagley abt 11:30. Sold the gun one line K-22 and had fun talking to people I knew. Brought the mint Marlin 39 back home, lots of low ball offers. Overall, had a blast, Larry

Didn't make it to Berea today,Sunday. Cold,Brrrrr. Next weekend is the Akron show, looking forward for it. Need to pick up a used small riflescope for my Weatherby 22 and then sight it in at the NOSC range some Tuesday morning.

Larry

I received the check for $135.
THANKS to Larry and ALL who donated.
We really appreciate it!

Well, since the big Gorilla has chimed in, this thread is ready to slip through the pages. Again, have a warm winter and great holiday season. See everyone in the spring. Watch for the spring Bunch announcement on MARCH 1st 2019. That will be our 11th year, Larry
