Yep, That's what I'm looking for.

My arthritic joints thank you.

KitchenAid is hands down the best for your money...just the classic model will do everything and never quit on you....we also have a grinder attachment for grinding store bought cuts of beef and making premier burger for different uses....we only eat home made bread and buns, so ours gets real use weekly...good luck with your search...just sayin!

KitchenAid for sure, but get the so-called "bowl lift" design rather than the tilt head.

Yes, a KitchenAid. Been running one for years. I recommend the red one.

Definitely. For arthritic or weak hands, the bowl lift model is easier to use.

Check around on price.
I bought a new-in-the-box KitchenAid from a local Craigslist ad 6 months ago for about half the price I would have paid at a store.

That's funny, I just got off the phone from a craigslist seller. Lightly used for less than half price. that's $90 for a $199 model.
To bad I was late.
I don't need a industrial grade one. It'll only get use once or twice a month. But it will be a kitchenaid

I bake rarely, so balked at the price of KAid. Saw this Sunbeam at Wally World for sixty bucks and pulled the trigger. Used it about a dozen times. Very happy with it.

My wife swears by her Sunbeam Mixmaster. Cheaper then Kitchenaid and just as good according to her. YMMV.

Wife has the big bowl-lift KitchenAid mixer. She also has just about every attachment made for the PTO. Now..... if she'd just make me something....

My wife said where the KitchenAid shines is making pastry dough but for easy things like mashed potatoes and dips she uses her cheap hand mixer because it's so much easier to clean up and put away.

Kitchen aid for me. Makes bread, fry bread, cakes. mashed potato's and with the whip on high speed it whips up PERFECT stiff whipped cream for deserts. I have the grating attachment and grates fresh parmesan cheese perfectly. Grates carrots for salads etc etc etc. Simply one of the best kitchen appliances to have.

The spiralizer attachment is handy. I've used it to make zucchini noodles. Much healthier than pasta, and I don't miss it.

I thought we were gonna talk about mixers. My favorites are Essick or Stone. Had a Thompson once, don't think they make those any more.

Oh yeah, baby! A happy Chef is a chef without want for tools. And a Happy Chef is ALWAYS preferable to the alternative. Lol. Back on topic, my vote is kitchen Aid for the home ‘pro’. Definitely a very versatile and reliable tool. I have I endorse fully.

Although I've had the best service with Kitchen Aid, there is one mixer-killer problem that has cost me dearly in the past. The two attachment bushings are driven BY PLASTIC GEARS. If you accidently get a spatula too close to the blenders, and they get grabbed, the gears will slip a cog, or break, and the two blenders will hit/clash on every rotation. Repair is a major task, and replacement gears might not be available - that's why I have two stored in the shed.

You can pump sausage out of a kitchen Aid quite admirably, believe it or not.

A decent condition used 20 qt Hobart will also run you a minimum of 3 Thou at auction. And that’s being very optimistic. 5 thou might be more realistic. The question is - how much continuous use at commercial-grade will the tool see? Unless you’re grinding up all your own deer, and the neighbor’s, and his friends too, AND making a small business out of it - you don’t need commercial grade equiptment.

Bleep it, I ordered a new one. The used market are all the bottom tier models and refurbished cost almost as much as a new one and I got to choose the color.

My wife has been using the same Sunbeam hand mixer we got as a wedding present over 50 years ago. But she doesn't do a lot of heavy mixing, like making dough. Mainly stuff like mashed potatoes and cake batter.

Same thing with my wife. She has a Mixmaster that was handed down to her from her Grandmother. No telling how old it is and it's still going strong. I did modify the cord. It was wallered out where it plugged into the side. I took it apart, drilled a hole in the side and hard wired it.
