Utensil: What is it?
My wife's stepmother died recently and she's been helping her father do some clearing-out of this and that. She brought this home to see if I had any idea what it is, and I don't. Do you?
The blade portion, between the "bottle opener" section and the tip, is serrated.

That's pretty interesting; I'd like to know what it is as well. Is it part of a Silverware set by any chance?

We're not sure-- there were no matching pieces, though the pattern on the handle makes me think it may have been. It's the size of a typical place-setting's butter knife, 8.75" long.

Ahhh. So the serrated part is for cutting lime wedges and such, I reckon. Thank you.

I was going to say a wine & cheese knife,,
but it's be more like a
beer and cheese knife I guess.
Probably used it fishing to pull hooks out and other fishin type stuff like drinking beer.

It's a Scilafidator. Given to the ancient Mayans by alien visitors from the planet Scila, just outside our Milky Way. It was used for human sacrifice to the Sun god Ra. Expect Indiana Jones on your doorstep soon.
Or it may be the bartender thing the folks up top suggested...

I have done decades of field research into the migratory and nesting habits of the flat-tailed barfly and I have found that item in all their habitats.

Bar Knife
(8-9” in length)
Bar Knives have multiple purposes in that they can be used as bottle openers, used to slice fruit, and the forked prongs allow for serving pieces of fruit.
