REDNECK PALACE
I'm in my gun room. I'm looking over the S&W forum on my lap top, the radio is playing country western music in the background.
The wife comes in, leans against the door jamb, looks around the room at all my "stuff" and says, " you kind of got you a regular " redneck palace", don't cha". Turns and leaves while shaking her head.
Reckon I do.

Years ago my sister-in-law replied when on a visit and someone ask where I was -- in JOHNNY LAND --  Sometime later I got a sign for Christmas that said so. The name stuck.

Looks good to me. Funny story with mine, I call it "The Man Cave". My Daughter and Grand kids were visiting and I said to my Grandson, come on kid lets go the "Man Cave" and I'll start you off on hand loading 101.
Whilst in there my Daughter came in to tell me something and he looked at her quite seriously and said, Mom you cant be in the "Man Cave" unless you are bringing drinks or snacks! She gave him a what did you say look and I busted out laughing. And no, I did not coach him.

IMO: All you really need to add is a refig. and a head and you'd rarely have to come out!

After I moved everything down to the safes and shelves in the basement I renamed my basement as "Groundhog Arms" since it's underground and my ancestral home is Punxsutawney, PA.

Good for you Master Chief! I've got my own "Fortress of Solitude" May be red neck or maybe not. But I love mine and There is not a stick or a spot of paint that I didn't put there myself. The point is to have it the way you like it, right?

Somewhere there is an ER missing their stainless steel stool. Redneck. white socks and Papst blue ribbon beer, is that a country western song? I prefer that it be called a mans recreational room.

Nice room, Master Chief. The grandkids call my redneck palace "The Lodge." I have a small refrigerator in one corner stuffed with cans of soda and frozen Snickers bars. The grandkids refer to this as "The Man Fridge."
When they come up to the ol' homestead, we'll all go out in the morning and do chores, i.e. split wood, haul manure, weed garden, etc. Then, around noon, we take a break and raid the man fridge.
For some reason, grandkids love the redneck palaces....and, by golly, who can blame 'em?
