I'll admit I had to think a couple of minutes before I saw the connection here, but it quickly became perfectly clear.
I understand your feelings. Condolences (belated) on the loss of your friends in such a tragic accident.

Sometimes when you wish bad things on people, it turns around and bites you in the bee-hind. Case in point, yesterday afternoon at BOA Stadium.
I don't watch much football, don't care much for the NFL. Never understood why it takes 45 minutes to play 15 minutes. But I watched yesterday's game on a whim.
Didn't see Cam Newton (NFL MVP) eating any grass. What I did see was Cam running for two touchdowns and throwing for two more. I also saw Cam knock two tacklers backwards into the end zone on one touchdown run. At 6'5" and a real world 260 pounds, he's hard to stop on a run. I suspect some defensive players really don't want to tackle him.

You guys had a game for about twenty-five minutes in total. Credit where credit is due, Andy Dalton threw a great game...accurate passing behind good play calling. A. J. Green seemed unstoppable until he was injured. The game might have been a bit different if he'd kept playing, who knows. But then Andy started throwing the football to the other team (oops) and getting hammered by Efe Obada (ouch). Then for some reason, the Bengals' defense started opening up holes for McCaffrey to run through. Over and over. Maybe they were tired. The icing on the cake was Kuechly's end zone interception of Dalton's last second help-me-Jesus pass.
I hope all the injured Bengals players soon recover.
I'm sure Cam Newton will "eat some grass" before the season's over. He's been sacked in the past, he'll be sacked in the future, especially since the Panthers' defense doesn't seem to have hit its stride yet.
Bottom line is, the Bengals picked the wrong house to visit for lunch yesterday. Instead, they ended up being the lunch.
Cam Newton? He's playing the best he ever has, and has fun doing it. The fans love him.
Y'all have a nice day.

Most interesting fact of Week 3: At this point in the season, the Browns have a better record than the Patriots . . .

Matt had his team well prepared and you could tell that he wanted it and his team wanted it for him.
Bill didn't let the hugging go on too long at midfield, did he?

Ah yes! Went to many a game at the old muni. Blocked sight lines, peeing in troughs (or sinks and garbage cans). But to watch the Kardiac Kids with 80,000 fans ... that is football. Now it’s PSLs and businesses are the only ones who can afford seats. Half the folks are on their cells. At least with the Browns track record you can buy 50 yard line seats in December for $15.
Go Browns

Part of US 322 in the Cleveland area is called Mayfield Road. I don't know if the part named Mayfield Road extends into the city limits of Cleveland. It does go by a great gun shop called Mayfield Guns in a little strip plaza in Mayfield Heights. Maybe after the N. E. Ohio Bunch meeting we can have a road trip to the shop. It's only 30 minutes away and it has some primo classic S&Ws.

Yes, it will be. The Browns could notch #2 against Da Raidahs. If they do the Mayfield statues are gonna pop up like dandelions.

Baker Mayfield is doing his thing. I can't remember the last time the Browns scored 28 points early in the 3rd qtr.

Baker will have babies named after him.
I actually wish the Browns success as they are overdue for some. Just not too much success. Regardless of what Sam Wyche said we don't dislike Cleveland fans.
Watching the Bengals' Eifert shatter his leg was gruesome.
