35 years ago, today (Update #49
I looked deep into her eyes and, with pounding heart, said: "I do".
We knew it the instant we met.
I see her through the eyes of my youth. We still hold hands in the car. We sit next to each other when dining out. We still smooch in public. I catch myself watching her walk across a room and often look upon her face as she drifts off to sleep.
We text each other something mushy everyday followed by: "I love you".
She has made and still makes me ridiculously happy. I could not imagine a life without her.
Folks, these are what glad hearts look like:

Even more bizarre! My sister got a jury notification letter today for the same civil case that Ruthie is asked to serve on.

Be glad for every day together. My parents just made it to 40 years married before Mom died from Lou Gehrig's disease.
I'm an old bachelor, so I'll have to make it to at least 101 years old to match what you've done.

Thanks for all the kind words and warm wishes. Ruthie had to work Wednesday. She was off yesterday so we tossed the grandkids out and had a lovely, quiet anniversary dinner.
We talked while she helped me put together a 9 piece jigsaw puzzle of a clock.
She then got lucky. I fell asleep.
