One day I hope I have friends strong enough to tell me when I'm not fit to have live ammo. At that time, I want them to take my ammo. Leave me with the guns.

That seems like an odd thing.

A guy who lives in my neighborhood is 101 and still drives. Not only that, he still drives "vigorously." Once, not too long ago, he was sitting next to me at a stoplight. When it turned green, he left me breathing exhaust fumes he took off so fast. I guess he'll be turning 102 soon and I still see him zipping up and down the street everyday...probably going to the grocery store to hit on the women there. Yeah...he does that too. The point of all this is to let you younger guys in your 80's to know that if he can do this at his age...so can you

Parked my Harley a few years back. No accidents or other misfortune, just knew it was time. With luck and if I live long enough, I'll be lucid enough to know when it's time to park my truck and turn the keys of my safe over to my son.

I'v got a few years to go.

My dad kept driving after they wouldn't renew his drivers license. He finally gave it up realizing it wouldn't look good for my brother being in local law enforcement.

it will be a sad day for sure as I love to drive.

My brother passed away and left behind over 200 guns, about 175 of them are handguns. Its been a nightmare.

Don't die and leave behind a large collection of anything.

I'm 71. Since 2016 I've had two heart surgery's, one a valve replacement. Then a gall bladder removal which was no big deal. Then they took a big hunk off my right leg do to skin cancer. The biggest problem is I used to do a lot of hard partying that resulted in nephropathy which effects both legs. That, coupled with bad circulation means I don't drive further than about 30 miles from home. I can't drive standard shift anymore which really kills me. As far as carry goes I've got a truck gun which is a DAO 9mm. My personal carry is a revolver. I'm afraid of tripping off an unwanted round with SA. If I go without some kind of exercise for a couple days I feel like a carp stranded in a mud hole. Great way to live.

Default Aston Martin?

Lordy, I sure hope you’re not kidding about the DBS Superleggera order.

One of the most beautiful cars ever! Please post pix when you get it.

Be safe.

Default The years have not been kind...

...to me. Gout, neuropathy, arthritis, kidney failure, 2 Open Heart operations, prostate cancer, chemotherapy, T2 diabetes, all in the last 10 years. I've shifted my shooting emphasis to riflery from skeet, where I once placed on the top 100 in the country. I still shoot skeet and trap, but do it out of a battery powered wheelchair. I was able to ride my motorcycle only a couple of days this summer, when the weather and my arthritis were on agreement. I turned 70 this year, so I rewrote my will to include the disposition of my guns. Want the good news? I've lasted longer than all but one male of my line.

A gun with no ammo is not dangerous. I doubt I'll ever lose the love of holding/cleaning/fondling my guns.

Default Hmmmmmmm...

...I am confused. Let’s make it simple: I hope you ARE getting a DBS Superleggero.

Please post pix when/if you get it.

I am rather envious...if you truly are getting one.

Be safe.
