Yesterday it looked like rain on our side of the mountains. Overcast, dark and dreary. 59 degrees and a slight breeze. Hadn't been shooting in a month due to hospital stays, ER visits and Doctor's appointments. Wife said I was becoming chemically imbalanced, insisted we go shooting.
Of course she shot her Rugers and I carried a couple of revolvers that I hadn't shot in a long while. I'm almost embarrassed to reveal my targets. I couldn't remember if the snub-nose shot to point of aim or a 6 o'clock hold was necessary. Tried a 6 o'clock first cylinder, all low, then moved to point of aim at center of bullseye. 10 yards rapid fire double action with both guns. The long barreled Colt did some better. I was sure rusty.
The range was virtually empty as you can see from the photo.
Came home, unloaded and went to the nearby polling place to vote. Early voting started yesterday in Texas. Any other time, the place would be empty even for presidential elections. Not yesterday, the place was packed, line out the door and across the parking lot.
Came home, went on-line and donated to the NRA.
Three things that needed doing. Felt better afterwards.
