Marry my ex wife. At least you won’t have to worry about your finances any more. You won’t have any!

I do not have a bucket list. Am I the only one? Like most, I first heard of the concept in a movie and decided that simply living my life was enough. Don't need to create a list of tasks to do before I die. Currently retired and enjoying each day without worrying about what I have not seen or done.

I have kidneys failing. The doctor doesn’t say much but I’m in rough shape. One kidney is full of stones he thinks it’s dead the other is at 90%.
The bladder is burned from prostate cancer radiation.

Time to get a bucket list. The cancer treatment center got me 8 more years of life. I’m good I spent time spoiling my grandson.

If you don't have a bucket list by now, you're just making stuff up . . .

I had a pretty major stroke almost 9 years ago, my wife almost died 18 days before. We are living like every day is a gift! We still live pretty close to regular lives (for us), but we have a few things we'd like to do together. Some take resources we haven't got, others require almost no effort from us at all!

1) Take all the kids and grand kids on an Alaska cruse. So far that is passage for 18.
2) Meet my cousin in California
3) Camp out for weeks at a time (need a camper or cabin for that!)
4) See at least one Great grand child!
5) MOST IMPORTANT TO ME: Lay hands on and impart a blessing to each of my descendants before I go on Home!

Ivan

In the movie the favorite of mine was the fulfillment of: Kiss the most beautiful girl in the world! Funny how your priorities change.

I have gone to many places and done many things and I only have three things I want to do on my bucket list. Go on a river cruise in Europe, visit the giant redwoods in north California, and go to New York City. I've been to about 42 or 43 of the 50 states but still missing some in the North East but not too worried if I see them or not, I'm not really comfortable going to extremely liberal areas.

I don't have a major bucket list. My goal is to daily be a good and decent person, a great friend to those who have allowed me to become part of their lives, and to try, as I can, to help those who are in need of a hand up, NOT A HAND OUT.

Put in a houseboat on the Tennessee River around Chattanooga. Have a bass boat or two tethered behind for little jump fishing excursions. A grill, plenty of draft beer, good grub and a handful of your best friends. Enough time to slowly drift and putt around stopping to take in some sights along the way. Float/cruise the Tennessee River until you hit the Mighty Mississippi, hook a left south and continue to the Gulf.

My only bucket list item.....

Isn't going to "California" and visiting “extremely liberal areas" a serious conflict of interests?

I don't have a bucket list. My life has been pretty full, I have been to many different places in the world. seen thing most people don't see. I have most of my dream guns, a wonderful wife, we enjoy many of the same things enjoy seeing her do thing she like to do. I think it is important to be happy with what you have enjoy today. Buckets list are for people who are unhappy with their life and feel like they missed out on life.

Thing about bucket lists is, they are all, each and every one, equally valid. That’s because the concept — as I understand it — is for an individual to make a list of what he/she hopes to experience in what remains of hizzer presence on earth.

Me, well, I’ve never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music...

(BigBill, I hear ya, brother.)

I suspect that all of us have things we've always thought we'd like to do. Many of them are not feasible financially, physically, or we just don't have the time. As I get older, I find that I can do things which don't cost a lot and that are within range of my physical capabilities these days, and that don't require a long stay away from home where I'm happy, satisfied, and comfortable for the most part that fill the bill. As has been famously stated, " A man's gotta know his limitations!"

And I have also come to realize that it just doesn't take nearly as much to peg my thrill meter these days as it used to take! There is a lot to be said about the advice to learn to be content where ever you are with what ever you have. That's possible, you know? True contentment is not found in material things (which don't last or they wear out or get lost or stolen, etc). At this point in my life, I'm enjoying what comes along every day to the fullest, knowing that my every days are numbered. I try to appreciate every day that comes, and give thanks for every tomorrow that I get to experience, and not waste opportunities that come to me this day! I try not to waste today while thinking about what I want to do tomorrow. Life is good, even with it's limitations, if you pay attention to what's possible to do with today! I try to make the best of it! And I try hard to appreciate the good woman that will soon have clocked 50 official years together with me. Now that's something to really be thankful for!

Two years ago I was on vacation in Alaska with a group of friends. My friend Mark and I were hiking down this little trail to get to a stream to fish for trout (and yes, I was well armed). I told him that I don't have a bucket list, but if I did, probably the only thing on it that I haven't done would be to come face to face with a dangerous animal that's intent on doing me harm. He said, "Let's put that one on the shelf for today!"

MrsB and I discuss this all the time. We don’t have an actual list, but we’ve been some places and had some once-in-a-lifetime experiences that would surely qualify. Some were planned and some just happened. Hoping for many more, whatever and wherever they might be. We try to live in the moment, but never stop looking forward to the future.
Cheers,
Doug

Nearest thing to a bucket list I have (or can afford) is to wake up tomorrow, and to leave where I live feet first on the way to the crematory.

I would love to visit my beloved Smokies and see the ocean once more before I die, but neither is going to happen.

#1 on the list..............Prove the doctors are wrong that 8yrs was way too short on their estimate They say and I believe that the mind is often much stronger than medicine so get your mindset that you're going long after 8yrs!

Now that you have more time you can add to your list
Gosh I imagine that there are some here that would have 8+yrs left would be ecstatic, others uncomfortable with the thought.
If you have companionship, if you have those that care about you and those that you care about, if you have people that you do things for that are thankful and people that do things for you without you asking you are in good place. 'Life' and living it may be all you need on your bucket list...........that way each day has meaning.............
I wish you the best BigBill, don't make any list that you expect to complete, keep it full and live long

Like others, I have lived longer than the leaf readers and chicken bone tossers have predicted.

I am content to have an unkicked bucket.

I have heard of Bucket List for a long time,
Have had one for a long time.
It has changed as time passed and circumstances have changed.
Did make that Alaska Cruise, 2 times.
Still thinking about a Mexico Trip to Tequila Country.
Lately, mostly thinking about around here in the four corners.
Recently Was up in 4 corners, S Utah, Monument Valley, Canyon DeChelly.
Planning 2-3 trips up to CO.
Then after the cool down, back to S AZ.
Been watching a bunch of Lost Dutchman videos on Youtube.
Thinking Apache Junction, Museums, Goldfield, etc.
Mexico? Maybe.
I did get a Passport Card on my last renewal.

I don't have a bucket list. Not gonna make one either.

When it's my time it's my time. "Shrugs"

Statistically speaking. Ive been dead for quite a number of years.

My "bucket list" is very short, and totally out of reach - but I'd love to spend another week at my beloved Masada. Been there many times, but a feeling keeps me returning. Now, I'm too old and poor.
