Default Homeowner protects his home with AR-15 against 4 armed intruders

Great example of defending one's home and property from the bad guys.

Because of the way the intruders were armed I really think they intended to kill the homeowner. Good thing he was armed and ready.

Armed men break into the home of a known disabled man to steal what they want. Marijuana present or not, they didn’t bring their guns to help him dust the furniture. They got what they had coming.

Oh I am so in on this post before the following:

*Did the rounds penetrate the walls and endanger people in the street?
*Should he have used birdshot?
*Why didn't he have his rifle locked up?
*If this was a Sport 1 did he add the dust cover?
*How should I add a dust cover?
*If it was me, I would use an AR valued at less than $500
*There's no difference between a $500 AR and a $1500 AR

Did I miss anything?

Muss Muggins, the captured crooks said that, but from where in the article did you get that the homeowner had both guns and whacky weed? We know that the homeowner had at least an AR, but there is nowhere in the article that says police found some weed in the house. The guy might or might not have had weed in there, but nothing in the article says so and we are talking about trash animals trying to save their own skins and could be making things up too.

I never said he did. Seems like a fairly specific accusation. After all, they didn’t say gold coins, gov’t securities, or heroin. I know that if I had shot four ne’er do wells trying to invade my home, the subject of weed would never come up. After 35 years in the business, I know this is true. There is no such thing as coincidence in crime . . .

YES, why didn't the sound of the owner chambering a cartridge scare the invaders off? A la "racking" an 870.
