NE Ohio Bunch Spring 2020 Meeting Canceled
Want to get back to displaying what we own like we did when the group started!! I am not “trying to end” the gun sales at the meeting, just slow it down. Bring only 2-3 guns for sale NOT a table full. Grips, boxes etc are still OK like before. Seems a bunch of people misread the email sent out recently.
If you have been wanting to attend our Bunch, this is the time to come. Share the ride with another S&W enthusiast.
Here is the date for Spring Meeting, winter is again going fast. Mark *Saturday May 2nd from 8-9am to 3 pm* on the calendar. The gun club we meet at is North Olmsted Sportsman club, 5743 Bradley rd, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070.
Directions, take the Stearns-Crocker exit off I-480 and go north. The first red light is Lorain rd, turn left. Go ABOUT a mile to Barton rd, turn right. The first stop sign is Bradley rd, turn right. The club is about 100 yards on the right. Tan building with a big gravel parking lot and a trap field.
Admission is 5.00 and a “plate of food to share”, enough fo 10-15 people. Be creative so we eat good food like we always do. I provide all the plates, bowls, napkins, toothpicks and plastic ware. Full kitchen cooking facility is available, oven, grittle, microwave and stove. Bring a friend if he likes S&W’s to share a ride. ***We need more main dishes and sides ***
Bring your favorite S&W’s to display. Guns, boxes and accessories can be brought to sell but not a **WHOLE TABLE FULL**. This is not a gun show. There are 20 8 ft tables available, first come first serve. If needed, we can crunch together. *BRING a COMFORTABLE lawn chair for sitting*, the club chairs are hard plastic.
Security, while *talking* watch what is going on, if someone picks something up make sure he doesn’t walk out the door with it. Let me know and I will confront him. Nothing has been stolen in 11 years. *Concealed carry* is allowed but KEEP the gun *in its holster*. There is a unloading board on the wall if you need to unload it to show someone your gun. Don’t unload by your table, unsafe. CLUB RULE
HOTELS, at exit 6a & 6b off of I-480, there are a bunch of hotels. This is one exit from where we meet, not real far. There are plenty of restaurants here also. You will have to choose your own place, this is a *safe area* to stay.
Hope we get some new members, 2 months away but will go fast. Larry

OK, put on calendar !
In the 9 'bunches' I've attended, I sold 2 and bought 1. I typically sell ammo and pistol magazines, I look for used revolver grips to rework. As with my recent 'adventure' with the forum bosses, I'll be putting a 'brass for sale for only to the 'bunchers'' in the miscellaneous classifieds.

I’ve been floating the idea of eventually making the trip out from Central New York.
Unfortunately, this year, Saturday May 2 is our springtime walleye season opener. I can’t miss that.
Maybe next time.

I haven't bought or sold anything, since I come from out of state. But I enjoy coming out to show my face and feed everybody on my stuffed mushrooms.

Planning to attend........ the "Registered Magnum and K-22 Masterpiece" set may be offered for sale.
Talked to JR and he can't attend due to a conflict.

Got out today since the sun is showing. Hiked the Hemlock trail down to the valley and back up. Need a nap now!!
Hope we get a good turn out, the spring Bunch is usually larger. Remember to bring more of the main dishes and sides. Ask the wife to make something creative to bring. Larry

Finally paying off to bump the thread, looks like there will be a couple of new people this spring. Bam-Bam, too bad JR can’t make it. Tell him we’ll miss him. Larry

I’ll bring the drinks. Any requests?
Thank you Larry!

Bob, bring Pepsi both diet and regular. Plus water. The club refrigerator has a big selection of different flavors. If someone wants one from the fridge, just grab one of ours and swap it when you take what you want. Always like the cheese tray, a smaller one. Glad the Mule will be there, Larry

I put the ad for reloading components, that I previously had in the last 'bunch' thread and forum administrator removed, in the misc classifieds.

Up for a nice start to the weekend. Anyone have an idea of what they will display? I will have the Korth .22 next to a K-22 for comparison. Should be interesting, the Korth can be picked up and the action cycled but not DRY FIRED. I’m sure a firing pin is hard to find. Larry

Not planning on using any table space, nothing new or unusual. But in the car I'll have the reloading components (that I listed in the misc classifieds), S&W OEM pistol magazines (in case someone is seeking some), and hostas for those that want for planting.

I was on that stuff and Folic Acid for my Rheumatoid arthritis for years, but after my 5 month stint in the hospital and rehab, Dr. took me off of it. I was thinking of having him put me back on it as I ache more now. All I can take is Tylenol, no aspirin or Ibuprofen due to bleeding issues.

Just checking in ! How's everybody doing in the current state of affairs ? Since the gun shows are 'down' for a while, I'll probably go to FFF Middleburg Heights during the week to get my fill of 'gun porn'. Was wanting Medina and Akron to look for some old Lyman shellholders, the true-line and 'j' types. The next Berea show (if not cancelled) should be the 1st of the 'warm weather' big shows.

Wish I could attend, but North Olmsted is over 550 miles from where I live. Oh, well. I'd sure be interested in that 25-7. I've had two...sold 'em both, much to my regret. The 25-7 just may be the most accurate revolver I've ever shot. And the things just keep going up in price!

550 miles is a long drive. 8 hour drive screws up the day.
I've driven 2 times 182 miles to the Lima Ohio show, 3 times 220 miles to the Novi Mich show and 2 times 560 miles to the Charlotte NC show. Don't really want to do any of those again, but we'll see.

Last spring I went to the Charlotte Dixie Gun & Knife show, 1st time and last time. Been to the C&E Charlotte show at Cabarrus, C&E at Winston-Salem (didn't like that show, too small but it could have been because of the season), C&E at Raleigh-liked that show. I go to NC to visit a friend, go to a gun show and tie in some rollercoaster riding at Carowinds.
What area you at ?

It is a while away but I'm thinking of bringing some .22s from my random assortment. Maybe I will make chili. I want to see your table Larry.

Me too but S&W stuff only preferred to show. Don't have anything new S&W to show so was thinking of some nice old vintage 22 autoloader rifles. I have a vertical rack and would only use 1/2 a table.

Finally experienced what's going on nationally. I shop at Dave's, today no bread, no TP, no paper towels. I wasn't there to get any of that stuff anyway, just needed cookies and potato chips.
With no where to go because nothing's open, been catching up on reloading. Made some 223 test loads, got 38special done, working on 357M. Next is 9mm, then 40S&W, then 10mm, then 41M, then 44special, then 44M. Got enough to keep me busy. Weather's supposed to be warm tomorrow and Friday, so might do some stuff in the garage.

Being that gun shows are defunct for now, anybody been going to gun stores lately ? Curious how firearms, ammo, components are 'flying' off the shelves in this area.

Small shop Cleveland Armory in Valley View was overwhelmed, tried to ship a gun and it took 2 visits in 2 days. He printed a shipping label at 8pm the second day and I took it to FedEx the next day. Larry

Hope our scheduled meet is still on. I was able to get a semi-truck load of toilet paper recently, so I will bring all of it to the Meet.
Looking for Reg. Mags, Colt SAA's, and other high cost guns.
Will work out trades for sure.

Current recommended crowd limitations is 50 ??? When capacity is reached, someone can't enter the 'bunch' until someone exits the 'bunch' ?

Hopefully by May we will be close to "back to normal".

Fin Feather Fur stores closed as of 5pm today. Unknown re-opening date.
I put an updated components list in the classified. Found bullets that were 'stashed' away.

Anybody been to Cabelas in Avon. I haven't been there since last summer. They had many shelves of ammo and reloading components. Their site shows them as still open. Just wondering if the 'frenzy' has hit there, I assume it has.

Heard Cabelas was giving numbers out to customers and I’m sure certain ammo is sold out. Glad I have powder, primers etc stocked for times like this. The gun stores are selling and busy I believe because the gun shows were canceled. The gun shops are the one source for gun and ammo not shut down by the state. The gun shows would be crowded if still being held. Larry

I can see Cabelas being open because of all the specialty 'survivalists' stuff they carry there. Food, clothing, footwear.

Up for a rainy morning morning, the wife works 2 days a week being kinda retired. Tomorrow we think she will be home 7 days a week. Should be only a couple weeks. .
Seems a lot of the regular Bunch members didn’t reply and a few won’t come because of the virus. Still have 5 weeks, could be a low turnout. Oh well, it will still be a good day. Larry
