Well I had a load worked up and wanted to shoot it today at NOSC. Had 11 rounds with 2 powder charges. The winner would go into production on the Dillon 550. They closed the club till April. The old guys shoot on Tuesday morning is gone for 2 weeks. We should be OK on May 2nd. Will keep everyone updated. If the club opens up, I will be there on May 2nd. Larry

May 2 is historically a 63 degree day in Cleveland. At Hopkins which is close to NOSC.

I'll be there too on May 2nd if I'm able.
I've got the urge to shoot a few guns too, so maybe I can talk the wife into us going to the farm and setting up some targets, but I doubt it. She is adamant that I stay home, secluded and bored , and not risk getting sick. My Son and Daughter feel the same way.

Hey Bill, we will miss 3 Tuesday’s from the club being shut down. I retired to enjoy the retirees weekly shoot, that’s why I started it. I guess better safe then sorry, Larry

Spoke with Steve this morning. He is working on the men's room at the Club, but I'm not sure what exactly he is doing.
He said the shop is crazy with orders for work and the guys are busy as ever. Everyone is doing okay so far.

Hi Bill you might want to listen to their advice. I have a compromised immune system too. I've been driving for a Automobile Delivery Company part time. A couple of weeks ago when this started with the Covid-19 I discussed the situation with my Primary Doctor and told her what I was doing. I've been avoiding sick people for quite some time now and was washing my hands etc. I explained to the Doc that I was taking those precautions and added hand sanitizer to the routine. Went as far to ask people if everyone was healthy in the house if it was a delivery to a person. She felt that I was doing all possible short of wearing protective gear. Long story short I've been home all week with a Respiratory infection and on antibiotics. Thankfully it seems to be clearing up and not suspected to be the Coronavirus. Now I'm going to be off until I feel strong enough venture out again. Point that I'm trying to make is that there's a lot of bugs/viruses out there despite all of our precautions. Take care my friend!

Wifey Pooh wants to take me out for a ride tomorrow. She says she wants to get the stink off of me.
We're going down to our Church and pick up 2 weeks of Communion (grape juice & wafer). We haven't had Services for 2 weeks and it will more than likely be several more weeks before we can get together again.

Ollie, take care of yourself. Only hope the best for you and a quick recovery, you are tough. News says the virus will peak mid April or later. We will see as each day passes. Bill (old cop), hang at home so if we can pull off the meeting, you can be there. Bill G, we all are getting restless and tired of being at home. Since Tuesday morning was canceled. I feel like a caged animal. We do walk and it helps some but who likes to exercise?? Larry

I've been going out as NEEDED. Mostly groceries as I have only a small refrigerator so I don't have the ability to stock up as others do. With gas prices dropping I've been filling up my 5 gal containers. So far 4 of 6 filled. When things get back to 'normal' for if there's a gas crunch. Been catching up in the reloading realm and the inventorying aspect. Eventually I'll add powders (9 unopened 1lb canisters) and primers (15,000) to the list for the 'bunch' I got going in the classifieds.
Sleeping time(s) have changed with the inability (restricted) to go out and do normal things. Spend a lot of time on the web and watching movies as Spectrum is giving free Showtime and Epix to those that didn't have them.
I'd like to go to Cabelas in Avon just to go see. They're supposedly limiting patrons to only 50 inside. Can't go in until someone comes out.
All the amusement parks are closed until further notice with many conjectured scenarios coming out, as decontaminating the rollercoaster train after each use. I miss the meals I would get there like Johnny Rockets cheeseburger platter and Hugo's personal pan pizzas and Jumbo beef dog with fries. Oh well.
Everybody stay as safe as possible !!!

Thanks Bill. It seems to be clearing up now after 7 days and my Doc just advised me to stay at home if at all possible. I guess that I'll be grounded for a while.

Got an email that the club is closed till May 1. Gonna wait till mid April to make a decision to hold it or not. Lot could happen in roughly two weeks, the meeting could be the first big event it has after the shutdown. Larry

Even if it happens, there's gonna be a few that won't risk attending because of their physical situation, and I can agree with their decision because the pandemics' course run won't be far enough at that time.
Since I only drive Euclid Ave/Mentor Ave, probably every day, except for the schools and school buses, traffic is 'normal'.
It's interesting to go back to post #1 of this thread and then read every post thereafter.

If we can pull this off on May 2nd, whoever shows up is all that will be there. The club is closed now till May 1, Wess cleans it and does a great job. The club is even closed for getting together and BSing. No one allowed in at all. So if the door is open on May 2, the club would have had very few visitors the days before.
If you visit a grocery store for food, you have a great chance to get the virus especially in the city areas. Driving in your car, not exposed to anyone to NOSC and visiting for 7 hours I feel there is a slim chance to get it. Everyone has their opinion and if May 2 is too risky then we will see you in the fall. If governor DeWine extends the quarantine til mid May then the meeting will be canceled. Larry

Got Fin Feather Fur e-mail this morning, they're finally doing online business. All they have set up so far is the ammo / ammunition category.
Everything else is indicated as 'coming soon'.

Good one Denny, sad sign of the times. Never in my life did I think I would see something like this that shut down the country. Coming off the winter season and looking for spring and all the neat things to do then bam, it all came to a halt. The weather is getting warmer slowly but nothing like a warm spring day at a gun show in the spring. Seems the days are going slow to see the virus stats but actually going fast as usual. Will be interesting to see when the virus peak occurs, how bad the economy gets and how long it takes to recover. Larry

It's getting time to un-cross fingers and call it, either by the club or by you. It would be a 'dismal' amount of participants. Look over the list of usual participants and how many would show. Most would want to attend but caution would over-ride the want.
I HATE to have this attitude but, get Matt to send out a mass e-mail and do a poll.

Up for a snowy day, had rain earlier and for a half hour we have heavy snow. It’s the big flake variety, for a while could barely see 5 houses up the street.
Won’t do a poll, most won’t reply and some may change their mind after responding. Matt runs a home internet business and doesn’t need to be interrupted with return emails. Last summer he was swamped with work plus out of town and the fall notice went out later in August then normal. When he puts “Do Not Reply to this Email”, he still gets responses. He is nice and forwards the responses to me. Matt has helped the group a lot over the years and I appreciate what he has done. He also has kids at home.
Yep, the spring meeting is looking grim but I really hope to have it. Again, whoever walks through the door that morning will be counted. If the numbers are small, we can spend more time with each other. Larry

Understood. I'm still planning on attending but won't be using any table space. Just attending to take pictures.
Where I'm at so close to the lake, the snow starts about 1/4 mile south of me where the elevation rise starts.

Want to wish everyone a great Easter, enjoy the day. Different Easter, doesn’t seem like it. As most we won’t have as many over to celebrate the day. Larry

Should see if Denny would be the Historian for the group. Well, Dewine hasn't extended the May 1st stay at home policy yet!! The Media is talking Mid May things could start going back to work slowly but who knows!! Will probably cancel the group this spring. Ever watch a sporting event and it looked dismal toward the end of the game with only minuits left? Larry

A sporting event looking dismal = Cleveland Browns.
In your post #68, a decision on/by April 15, only 2 days left Larry.
A historian for an event that's only existed for 10 years ?????
Unless there's an announcement by 'government' or by the gun club that May 2nd won't be allowed, I can see you holding off as long as possible to decide.

Larry as disappointed as I am, I believe that you are right to cancel. Using a refrain that every Browns and Indians fan is familiar with "There's always next year" or in this case, next fall.

OK. When the club grounds open up and you start the Tuesday morning
'shoots' back up, would you add that to this thread so this thread won't disappear.

Larry,
Thanks for ramrodding this event every year. It looks like I am going to have to make a similar decision regarding our family reunion.

We'll keep this thread going ('not fade away') until you start the new thread for the 2020 fall bunch. Good way to communicate among the group.
I'll post in here about my visits to Cabelas and FinFurFeather. Also about my gun show visits when they eventually start back up.

Larry 24.6 miles, about half an hour. Bam, I am old, like the kid at the gun shop said, most people your age are selling guns.
