Default Quite Chaos

Not working today due to recent heavy rain ( I work in construction). So I go to a local park for a 90 minute walk. Walking gives time to ponder the current world situation.

So while thinking about this and that, I realize how quite it is. In a 90 minute walk I only heard one airliner over head the whole time. Usually they are to numerous to count.

My world is still orderly and quite, yet chaos reigns...hope it stays that way.
Because loud chaos will be a whole different animal.

I had not given it any thought, but I'm under the take off evening/night time landing pattern of RDU. It's been really quiet the last few days. The quiet has been rather nice but I'm looking forward to the noise again.

Quite quiet here, too, comparatively speaking.

I had to go to the doc today, and the commute, usually thick with frantic traffic, was a leisurely delight.

You may be eligible to draw pay up to 80 hours through a government program, but only after your vacation time is all used up.

Good to know about that.
They said, just next week.
Then added "hopefully ".
Guess I'll find out what it's like to be "out of work".
I've never had this happen.

Best to keep your head while those about you lose theirs. We can just hope for the best and prepare for the worst. Good luck to all here.

My bro just called and he's still hopeful that he can keep his steakhouse open as a takeout and delivery operation until this virus passes. He's keeping two chefs cooking and two waiters making deliveries, but so far the receipts are about sixty percent of his break even point. He'll run it out of pocket for a while, and see what happens.
He said it's so quiet on the streets of Manhattan that he feels like Will Smith in "I am Legend".
