What the Heck is Going On?
I'm having a lack of sound on my computer and in trying to find the cause, I stumbled up the Networks attached to my computer. Below is a screen shot which shows the "entities" on my network. Does that mean that NSA and DEA are watching my computer?

No! Your phone is just telling you what is out there within range. Your phone's security system and settings should prevent you from connecting .

I think you have neighbors with a pretty good sense of humor. You should rename your network “Sinaloa Cartel,” or “KGB-USA.”

Good grief. Yeah, this is a virus released by the government to take totalitarian control of us all.

Under the Wi-Fi settings on my tablet it shows a descending (by proximity) list of active users showing mostly my neighbors.
Numbers 2 and 3 are: FBI surveillance van #2 and FBI surveillance van #3.
I'll bet I know which neighbors they are.
To quote Ray Parker Jr: "there's something strange in the neighborhood" .

My wife had the same problem last week after a Microsoft update. It took a couple of reboots before the problem cleared up. Same thing happened again a couple of days ago after another update and rebooting took care of that too.

Those are not users on your network, they are other people's WiFi systems.

I am sure lots of folks want to log into that.
Really the signal doesn't get many neighbors anyway

A few times in the last couple years when Windows 10 has updated things I have lost my sound. It has always been a new version of the Windows sound driver being installed over the Realtek drivers that came with the computer. I go to Device Manager, enter Sound Video and Game Controllers and have it roll the sound driver back to the previous version. That takes care of it for me.

You may want to check your Bluetooth. You may have some headphones/earbuds that are attached that you forgot about...ask me how I know this.
