LGS I go to.
Had occasion to go to the shopping center yesterday.(food run) That brought me by a good size LGS I do business with. Went by at 2 PM and only 5 vechicles in the customer parking. Came home at 4.30 and saw 6 vechicles there. The employee lot had the normal 6 vechicles in it.
I needed nothing at the moment so drove right by. This is a fair size place with normally plenty of guns and ammo available so I thought that it would be packed. From a lot of things I have read I was rather surprised it was not.

As a NY down stater, perhaps I have a different perspective:
Those that felt the need to buy something, already have.
More are practicing social distancing. My rare outings are only to the supermarket and hardware store.
With vast unemployment, money has to go to essentials. Guns are nice, but a sandwich is easier to chew on than a Model 15. I expect a number of guns to be liquidated in the coming months. (perhaps those five or six customers were not buyers, but sellers)

Could be the store has been cleaned out of product (like ammo) and not much to sell until he gets some new items in stock. Have you been inside of the store lately?

I've actually avoided my LGS because of the rush I've heard about both here and in the news. Maybe I can go back now.
I suspect the lunch counter is closed though.

My son was in he said they had a good stock. He bought some .380 and .45. This store is about 7 miles from a small city and about 20 miles from a larger city.

Mabey the panic buying hasn't reached everywhere. That's good to hear.

Can't help but "like"
Haven't visited one since this all started..... the last time (late Feb) I was in one about 20 miles north of the Burg...... they didn't have much stock...... seems like the new owners have a minimalist philosophy.
