Default Well, it took two weeks...

This could well be the first COVID-19 stress related killing. In Vegas, I'm actually surprised it took this long.

I'm afraid that the longer this mess we are in goes on there will be more cases of unnecessary violence, such as this one. I hope I am wrong, but I will not not bet on it. Sad deal all around.

This has nothing to do with any virus. It's just business as usual.

I think the same could be said for some hospital deaths. If you are 90, have COPD, on oxygen, etc. and contract the common cold, the seasonal virus, or COVID-19, the end result is probably going to be the same.

News reports say domestic violence is up, what with everyone largely cooped up at home. Makes sense, unfortunately.

Our city has had an increase in auto theft, burglaries etc, even more than before. Though I am sure thats the same for many areas. But with a nation stressed out over monetary and health concerns, I am just waiting to read about someone who defended their property by use of force.

So is this going to be the "new" defense line?

the media keeps us well informed of the daily virus death count...its the current trending drama........

in the past....during summer weekends, in chicago, several are shot daily....its a standard feature...so not much attention is reported....

Well, here is one you can hang on the virus and panicked idiots.

I just ran across a story that says an Illinois man evidently killed his girlfriend and then himself because he suspected she had Covid 19. The police got called to do a welfare check by the idiot's parents and found the house locked up. After they broke in, they found both dead in different rooms and by the man, a loaded revolver with 2 empty and 3 loaded rounds in it. They also said the house was orderly and neat. The article also said that both deceased tested negative for Covid 19.
