Default Creative Spelling Explained

From the Rules:

1. We ask that you conduct yourselves as ladies and gentlemen. Civil Discourse and Courteous Behavior shall be the norm.
Do NOT post nudes here.
Do NOT post "girly" pics here or use them for avatars.
Obscene, vulgar, lewd, or ‘just plain crude’ language or images will not be tolerated. Images in the same vein or displaying such language will not be tolerated. If you cannot use it politely in mixed company or around YOUNGSTERS, please don’t use it here.
"Cre@t!ve sp&!!ing" of the words which the filter traps is forbidden.
Homophobia and gratuitous sexual references will NOT be tolerated.
___________________________

Cre@t!ve Sp&!!ing is a method used to post a word that is not allowed on this board.

We have a filter that traps the words that are not allowed.
Use it to your advantage, folks.

Let's say yellow was not allowed.
If you type:
"I have a yellow car"
and type 'yellow' correctly, your post will look like this:
"I have a ****** car"

That is fine- No harm, no foul, and NO DING unless the context is an obvious offense.
If you type:
"I have a y@!!ow car"
you are creatively spelling 'yellow' to circumvent the filter.
That would get a ding.

Simply type any word you want to use.
If it is allowed, you'll see the word.
If not, you'll see ******.
LEAVE it alone, or pick a better word.

Bear in mind- cute attempts to use one word of a two word phrase combined with asterisks or a partial word combined with asterisks IS creative spelling and will get a ding.

I simply will not host a board that is rude or vulgar.
I will not host a board where boorish behavior is the norm.
I will not host a board that people cannot use to teach their children about the shooting sports.

No need to remind me that worse is commonly seen on TV.
I don't set the standards for my life or this board by TV.
It almost seems that most of America does now- How's that workin' out for ya?

Last, if you get a Reminder or a point, get over it.
Read the rules- you missed something.
It's not personal.

Must reads:
RULES
Reminders and Infractions
