My wife was a natural blonde.. After I married her I helped turn it white in short order. Her whole family(the women) had hair that turned white at an early age. I myself am blonde..Very light. But my beard is red...or was...now it is gray and red. For some odd reason when I was young I always got hitched up to redheads...Most of 'em were trouble too. I got smart and got away from 'em. One of 'em was blind and a whole lot wilder than me. When I was around her I always thought I would have to keep an eye out for the PoLeece. Never gave this idea of blondes becoming less numerous but it sure seems to be true!!

I used to work with a female Trooper who's hair color seemed to change daily, sometimes it was more than one color at a time. Reg's only stipulated that the color had to be one that occurred normally in nature, thus no purples, pinks, greens or blues. One shift change she brought her young sons in on her way to work and the dispatcher getting off would take them to watch until dad could get home from work. The boys were great and sat in the dispatch area quietly playing video games or drawing and coloring. One day I walked into dispatch and one of the boys was drawing a picture of what was obviously his family and "mom" had yellow hair. I asked him who that was and he told me in no uncertain terms that that was mommy. I then asked him why she had yellow hair, (today it was jet black) and he just shrugged his shoulders. I then asked him what color his mom's hair was naturally and he just looked up and me and said "how should I know".

FORTE,,My wifes hair has gotten darker at the base,she fixes it as she says. About her karate. A couple times when we were on pistol team trips, we ran into young cops, who drank too much, hitting on her, just being ignorant, then become pushy, when they went far enough that I asked them to go away. Of course they wanted to fight, so I would tell them, before they could fight me, they had to fight my wife, never had any takers. Trust me I would rather have her for backup, than most guys I worked with. She is very easy going, I think that comes from being confident in herself. Our biggest arguments come from her NOT wanting or needing my help for stuff. Thanks for letting me go on about her, she would be mad if she knew I was sharing info, that's the way she is. Her Okinawa te instructor was Gordon Dovorsola, She was Shihan's only real female student, other than his daughters and he may have trained some actors I think. Some guys from work took her there and she had to work out for him. He then agreed to train her, she took private lessons from him for years, he would take her out in front of his dojo and work her out on the sidewalk. She came home with bloody knees and elbows many times. He didn't pass out belts, one day after training he would just walk out and hand you one. After about 3 years he gave her a brown , about 4-5 years later he was working her hard so she thought she was getting close to a black one but unfortunately he got too sick to train . She could care less about a belt she was so glad to be trained by him. Here is a photo I found that guys here can appreciate.

So this thread left me pondering why it may be that blondes are less common, so I did some research and here's what I came up with...

Based on what I've read, natural blonde hair is a recessive gene which is mainly present in folks of Northern European descent, and it tends to darken with age, so it makes sense that it would be less common nowadays when folks tend to be more genetically diverse.

Also, it's worth mentioning that I used to know a few girls who were naturally blonde but chose to dye it for various reasons. For example, I knew a girl who dyed her hair black because she was really into gothic fashion, as well as a few blonde girls who had expressed consideration about dying their hair darker colors in order to distance themselves from the stereotype that blondes are ditzy/dumb. So it's likely that there are a number of blondes who simply choose to dye their hair darker colors.
In addition, I've learned that it's possible for someone with naturally blonde hair to develop darker highlights or have darker eyebrows, ergo what many consider to be tell-tale indication of dyed blonde hair may not be as accurate as you think.

My mustache and a lot of my beard hair is blonde, up top is brown with a few grays peeking through early.... quite a few of my cousins on my moms side are natural blondes. Green, blue, and hazel eyes for the lot of us...

Dated a Danish exchange student for a year in high school, probably the smartest girl I've ever known, spoke 5 languages and in medical school now.

Thinking back I have never gone wiht any girl taht was not at least brown headed and even a couple that had raven black hair. My first love was raven black and then years later I had a girl friend who was raven black that had some highlights of dark that occurred naturally she was hispanic.

The most strikingly beautiful woman I ever seen in my life was when I was about 14 or 16 maybe. She had a perfect figure about 5'4" long raven black hair dark skin and gorgeous blue eyes. Never saw her but the one time.
