Default Saw Yvonne Craig.....

...on STTOS tonight doing her dance that Mr. Spock said was considerably more 'coordinated' than the dance little Vulcan kids do in nursery school. I agree Mr. Spock. That lady is (was) VERY coordinated.

IDK. Being essential ain’t what it’s cracked up to be sometimes.

I just looked up her bio. Apparently she was raped by Gene Roddenberry and then fired. I can see why her life was shattered. RIP Yeoman Janice Rand...

I didn't know that she named her attacker. And it was the big GR himself. DANG!

IIRC, she refused to name her attacker publicly, but she told Nimoy right after it happened. They story also named Nichelle Nichols as one of Roddenberry's conquests. It seem that back in that day the attractive actresses were expected to bed the executives. Whitney did not agree with that practice.

When this show came on I was 11. We did not watch it and I didn't know anything about is for several years. One day I hear some friends discussing the "Enterprise", and I chimed in that my dad had sailed on the Enterprise.....they all thought I was nuts, and perhaps so, but dad did spend part of his Pacific tour on the USS Enterprise....It was probably six or eight years after the show started that I ever saw an episode.

Well go figure...It probably explains why every episode had some leg humping in it. That was probably at Shatner's request. Never did like him. A real pig
