The Launch
Tuned into ABC live watching the space launch! This to me is reminiscent of the old Mercury,Gemini and Apollo missions.
As in the other post in regards and under the current state of affairs I think this is a great day for America.
Some of the details are really unbelievable, Spacesuits designed by a Hollywood Costumer? Really? The capsule named after the Millennium Falcon?
Seen the astronauts load up and leave for the capsule.
I thought our advancement to the Space Shuttle was awesome but going back in time to a rocket launch with a capsule again is just .......well I’m tuned in and kind of reliving those exciting days of yesteryear!
Anyone else watching this?

I fish in the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge which is right next to the launch pads. Every time we fish there on the day of a schedule launch and they then scrub the launch, we have our best day of fishing! Go figure?

Reminds me of when I was in elementary school during the Mercury & Gemini flights. Catholic school, they'd have a probably 19” TV on a tall stand, in the cafeteria. The whole class would watch.
I remember the teachers having us all pray for Apollo 13 during their difficulties.
It worked!
