No More Part-time Job
I had a doctor's visit earlier today and he said without doubt I was high risk if I contracted COVID-19. I have diabetes, asthma and cardiac problems. All are under control at this time. A couple of hours after my doctor's appointment, my employer called me. I took a job a couple years ago working in a box store with a gun department part-time. I get 24-28 hours a week. I took a furlough on march 15th after the coronvirus hit us. I was told that I could have until June 15th off. They called me today and said I had to return by Sunday of they could not keep my job for me. I asked about precautions and was told staff are wearing masks but the customers did not have to do so. Easy decision. I thanked them for the part-time job but I would not be back. Just not worth it. I will find other things to fill my time. Now, where is that "honey-do" list?

Sorry to read about the situation, but I'd have done the same. A vaccine can't arrive soon enough.

Seems as if most people around here think that the virus is no longer a problem. Hoping that they are correct.

In a Casual conversation with my Primary Care Physician
(Who also happens to be a Friend)
He Mentioned that he thought I was "High Risk"
I'm Waiting this out until I am confident of a Genuine
"All Clear"

Same here in South Florida. Most people act like all is back to normal, but our numbers keep going up. They’re wrong, it’s still a big problem........

I am fortunate enough to live in Seattle. Our governor very early on passed a state-wide order that those that are high risk can stay at home and collect unemployment. There is a list of qualifying risk issues, and I have 2.
Of course the central Puget Sound counties of King, Snohomish and Pierce dictate pretty much everything for the whole state based solely on population. So the ignorant and fearful city-folk are messing up the firearms laws. THAT makes me very sad.
