From the “Other Option” category:
The modern flamethrower. Perfect for giving those nasty murder hornets 🐝 the warm welcome they deserve. Also suitable for fire ants 🐜 (of course!), your annoying neighbor’s drone, and here in lovely Florida, the counterweapon for the scourge of mosquitoes 🦟

Any single shot firearm. You don’t have to kill ‘em all. Just identify a ringleader and make an example of him (or her).

My cardiologist said I had to reduce my salt intake. He didn't say anything about my salt output.
Also useful for margarita glasses.

Rem 870 with eight rounds of 00 Buck, and maybe a couple of slugs just in case.
Also have my custom built .38 Super Commander on hand.
Both are readily available and handy.

Heard a rumor of a local riot threat a couple of days ago. Loaded a bunch of AR15 magazines and stationed three ARs in three different rooms to be easily accessible. Also loaded the shotgun with slugs. If they bust in here I ain't playing games with 'em.
Nothing happened of course, and that's the way I like it.

I'm a carbine nut....
Lever rifles, AR-15 carbine length, pistol carbines.
I'll take an AR any day over an AK 47.
Shotguns are't my favorite, but they are very useful.

Either Fougasse or Claymores ought to do the trick, if not then a M-61 Vulcan.

That's exactly what I'd do. With bees, too.
But I was thinking a scoped 10-22 from concealment would be just the ticket.

I always figured it would be difficult in most situations to plead self defense at any range a Remington 870 loaded with 3" #1 Buckshot won't take care of the problem.

I assume the question refers to home or close quarters situations. All have their advantages and disadvantages. but my preference for this situation would be my .45 1911. Plenty of stop and you don't have to do any sheet rock repair after. Also you don't have to worry as much about collateral damage as you might have with a shotgun or magnum load.
for longer distances I would choose the AR-10. 308. It will reach out and touch someone and it will get the job done.

One of the boys left a short handled tennis racket behind...... been good on those large size wood bees........................
But the Boy Scout in me says be prepared ..............
Long range gets a warm welcome from either a scoped CZ 527 in .223/5.56 (5rd detatchable magazines.)or a S&W "Sporting rifle" with a Amipoint PRO!
under 75yds; any other "waskley wabbits" get greeted with a Beretta CX4 with 30 rd mag.
all backed up by a Beretta 92 Centurion. ...... with18 & 20rd mags that also work in the CX-4
Personally, as a locally raised history major in college, I've never gotten over missing the French and Indian War here in the Laurel Highlands of the western frontier ...... so final line is a Ka-Bar Extreme duty "utility" knife and a small "hawk" !!!!!
