Default Getting Up Early

I usually get up when ever I wake up, between 10 or 11.

Had to get up today at 6:30 AM to meet someone to buy a gun part. He lived in Jax and was driving thru my area. I'd do anything to stay away from Jax so I met him on his way south.

I've felt mentally irregular all day. My cat is none to happy/friendly either. She's use to my normal scheduled.

So I have proven getting up early is harmful to your health!

10-11?
You must go to bed at 3AM.
I can sleep till 6:30 or so, that’s it.

Yo Wood, you did shift work right?
Your 2nd shift may be like our 3rd, i.e. 4PM to midnight.
I'd turn in around 3AM then up whenever the suburban buzz would waken me. Sucked out loud but 1st shift was worse.

Usually wake up by 4:30 by furred alarm clock. Then i get taken for a 2 mile walk. The fur gets upset if i stay up past 10 pm, but joins in afternoon nap time. Sunrise is my favorite time of the day in summer, and it be cool and free. Am simply too old to get in trouble at night, mainly because i can't stay awake.

I get up at 845 every day and go to work. Go to sleep about 1am. Perfect schedule for me. Get home from work about 7pm. Works for me. Get to sleep in and miss traffic.

Yep every morning at between 4:45 and 5:15 I have a cat walking on my head telling me it's time to get up.
There have been a few times if I'm not responsive enough that critter will lick my eye lids.....I'll tell you that will wake you up...

Birds normally wake me up starting at 5am or so. I get a lot of stuff done before 8am. Occasionally, I sleep until 630am or so.

I'm pretty young (67) and while I still run my business on a part time basis, there's nothing cooler than going to bed saying: "I'll get up when I get up". No alarms but just the sun sneaking in through my black out window blinds.

I worked either second or third shift all my working days, except when my kid thought he wanted to play baseball. Went to first shift to be at all his games.

As soon as he got bored with it went back to second, 4 to midnight.

Last job I had was 6 to 2AM. Loved those hours.

Now I go to bed between 3 or 5 AM. Probably go to bed a bit earlier tonight thou.

For over 40 years I got up at 4:00AM and to bed by 10PM. Seldom used a alarm clock. That dang internal clock kept working for two years after I retired - now, it's nice to wake with the sun rise.

I sleep fitfully. Generally up by 8 or 9. Good sleep is wasted on the young.

I get up a little before sunrise and I am in bed a little after sunset. Been on that schedule forever.

One winter not long ago I went about a month going to bed around 1 and getting up at 7.

Never felt right, and went back to my old ways.

I do sleep like the dead. I'm honestly asleep within seconds of laying down. I might wake up around 5 hours later to hit the head, but I go right back to sleep.

Hit the sack mid-night or so.
Up 9-9:30 am...normally.
Sometime around 8am

Always awake near daylight.
But rollover...back to sleep.
I'm thankful for retirement.

Real similar to my schedule-like you, memtb, done by 2300-2330 (whenever the wine glass is empty)...then the 5:15-5:30 AM wake up calls are usually due to a black, wet nose in my face from the hound or either lab (I think they take turns).

On work days I'm up at 0100 and days off vary but around 0500 or so. I have worked all different kinds of shifts in my life and had to adjust to them all, some good some not so good.

I've been up about 45 minutes.

This is about par for me.

Since being out of my teens I've been an early bird, love sunrises.

Chronic pain is what awakes me now, but I still love the morning hours.

I used to get up at 5am every morning when I worked in shops, now I get up around 11. Working 2pm until the works done, which is usually 3-4 am.

I've been retired 2 1/2 years, still get up sometime between 5:00 - 6:00. I simply can't sleep or remain in bed past that point. Guess I'm a natural early bird.

With me it is seasonal, spring & summer up before the sun. If late
fall & winter I can stay in my warm nest a couple more hours.

Bedtime’s at 10 for me. That’s a pretty rigid number.

If I have something I want to do, I’m up with the roosters. Otherwise, no later than 7am for me. I get headaches and feel groggy all day

Quigley gets me up at 0500. We have strong coffee. Prayer time. Then a good workout.

Check the news and then hit the field for a long walk, before the summer heat attacks!

During the summer months, we take a siesta after lunch so we can stay up later. We had been doing this so we could watch the Braves play. This year, no baseball, so we read late into the night. Reading Vicksburg 1883, great read by Winston Groom.

Love retirement, after working long and unusual hours and holidays for 30 years.

Now that I'm retired I can sleep in to the time I used to have to be at work, 45 miles away. One of the first things I do is send my morning text to my uncle here in town. The day I retired he said we needed to call or text each other every morning so he knew I was OK, otherwise if I fell and hit my head nobody might know about it for days. And of course while we're at it we solve all the world's problems.
