Default For the Santa Fe Railroad guys

These are my dad's certificates of apprenticeship for carman and machinist.

My camera isn't the best, but, I hope you can see and enjoy all the cool little details.

Those are neat mementos to have!

I have a Santa Fe Railroad spike, purchased in an antique shop in Colorado several years ago, on my bookshelf in my residence in Japan. Only cost a few bucks, and not much to look at it, but.... I enjoy it as a small piece of American history.

If I can find the date nails, I'll post some picts. Among some other stuff. For those who don't know, date nails are nails with a two digit number with raised lettering (I cant remember the proper term) the head to denote the year of the railroad tie. They haven't been used in decades. I wouldn't be surprised if they are collectable.
