MOH
MOH = Medal of Honor
If you have not watched some of the Medal of Honor videos on Youtube you need to do it.
What these guys did for our country and their brothers will put a big lump in your throat and some tears in your eyes. And nearly all of them talk about how the medals really belong to others that fought and so many others that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
In these troubled times it did me good to see and hear the stories of great Americans who love and appreciate what this country means to them.
Most of them are just a few minutes long and well worth the watch.
God bless America and these great men.

That's great, I'll watch more of them.
The only thing that bugs me are the many people who gave up their lives to save others, that the world will never know about.

This is exactly what many Medal of Honor recipient's say. I've watch a lot of those videos and most of them are very humble people.

I've seen a number of these videos. There's also a series on Netflix called Medal of Honor. Very moving.

Exactly.
They spend a minute or two talking about where they came from and how they joined the service and then it's all about their experiences that got them nominated for the MOH. A lot of them say they were surprised at the nomination and that they were just doing their job and that there were so many others that deserved the recognition.
It's a real contrast to what we are seeing all over the news these days.

A couple of years ago my daughter was at some military or airplane show and there was a MOH there selling a book "Medal of Honor Quotes".
It was produced by the Center for American Values. It has quotes from nearly every modern era MOH winner. Very inspiring to read.
Center for American Values, 104 South Main Street, Riverwalk Suite100, Pueblo, CO 81003.

A minor nit, not meant to insult anyone, but those who are awarded the MOH are recipients or awardees. They are not winners; it’s not a contest.

I've met Woody Williams, Iwo Jima MOH, on several occasions. He is a true hero. His story should be a movie. I just hope they don't cast Tom Cruise or some other flack as him.

That is true. My wife is on one of the Ruger forums and there is a member there who met and got to know Desmond Doss because of church activities and long before the movie Hacksaw Ridge came out and described Mr. Doss as such.

There is a (now retired) lawyer here in town who got the DSC in Viet Nam. The citation reads like a book. He does not discuss it and thinks it is no big deal.
