Happy birthday to all of us, the United States of America. We may not be perfect, but we are the greatest country to grace this old earth so far.

Good Morning,
A happy Independence Day to all of us. I fly my Flag proudly, and walk among heroes on this forum and here at home. I don't mean guys and gals that do things to get attention, but those that lay it ALL on the line without giving it a second thought. Unfortunately lots of them are gone on, some did so saving another person's life.
God bless you all,
Leon

Happy 4th members. Yes 2020 is a very weird year. In 1976 I was in D.C. for the 200th fireworks. Right now I think about that spectacular display as a fond memory of good times.

Like many others here have done at different times, in 1973 I took an oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic..."
That enlistment had a termination date. The oath didn't. The oath seems more important now, on July 4 2020, than it did back in 1973.
Happy Independence Day!!!

Yes it was another great one and a super duper BBQ and get together with family and friends.
The BEST part of the evening, was when we got back home.....
the new puppy and 5 year old did not tear anything up and were good boys and girls, which made Mama, very, very happy.

Blasted my cannon off the front porch a bunch of times. .750 bore. Stick in a chunk of fuse, pour in a bunch of black powder and wad in some aluminum foil and KaBoom. The foil wouldn't even make it to the fence about 30 ft away. When I fire lead balls its a different story.
