I have been listening to my scanner all day,mostly fireworks calls and the normal stuff. The one that stood out was a call for a white male, no clothing, with two knives in his hands at the Holiday Inn

Happy 4th neighbor I'm at home with door locked with shotgun loaded. Will be hearing sirens tonight and see new skid marks and busted guardrails tomorrow.

My son lives on the side of Paint Rock Mountain East of Woodville, Al. If you're not hearing gunfire around there every day it's time to start worrying about your neighbors. He works on Redstone and hides on his hill. A wonderful thing to see, an educated redneck.

Oh, I thought "drinking holiday" meant we weren't allowed to drink on the 4th. My mistake. Too late, anyhow

No fireworks or parties this year, just grilled rib eye steaks with the children, mashed potatoes, sweet corn and prayer. Watched White House flyover ceremony on TV, will go to sleep early. Hear about some of it tomorrow. the rest of thr nonsense - who cares? Safe fourth, and happy patriotic memories.

We had a naked man pushing a lawn mower down one of our busiest streets at 5 on Friday afternoon a few years ago. We also had a naked man carrying his pet duck through one of our quietest neighborhoods too.
I know it will come as a shock to most, but it turned out each incident involved the ingestion of LSD.

Hey, we usually take Monday's off to reload, so you get one day of no gunfire in the neighborhood. I would not know what to think if I spent two or three days without hearing someone target practicing in the late afternoons. yep, that would call for checking on the neighbors. If he is east of Woodville, then that is Nat Mountain, south end of the Cumberland Plateau!

and yes;
It was a Marvelous "Full Moon" up in the sky last nigh on the 4yh, to enjoy, as we drove home, after a fun BBQ and get together that the SnL's
house, last night.
As big as a "Pizza Pie" !!
I enjoyed it MORE, since I did not have to drive.

I guess actually it would be North of Woodville on county road 8. Here is a picture of his place looking West at his place and the mountain. four hundred yards to the base of his range.
