Just got an email-
My Chase Bank Account has been disabled, multiple sign in attempts, etc.
Actually Sounds like a good move.
Especially since I never banked with them!

I have had that problem with Amazon where I got an email about a purchase I never made. Canceled the purchase and changed my password. Seem about every 10 or 12 months my debut card gets compromised and I have to get a new one. I wish there were stronger laws requiring companies to keep information secure or face major penalties and fines. Too many companies loose their customers information to hackers.

There was a message on my answering machine a while back that I had
won a lottery. Fifty million was mentioned. They gave me a number to
call back. I don't even buy lottery tickets, so I knew it must be some kind
of scam. Did not call back. Fifty million would probably cause more problems
that it would solve anyway.

I've already received two more Social Security scam robocalls this week, in addition to three last week.

I’m about to go black and bury the computer.
My God, the blessings and troubles it’s brought, huh?

If I ever get such a message about my credit card and I am concerned, I call the number on the card, not what's in the email or phone message.

I read an article today that the FBI has over 5000 agents investigating Chinese Cyberattacks in the US. It mentioned that the Chinese uses espionage and cyberattacks against the US which amounted to “one of the largest transfers of wealth in human history”. It also mentioned that they probably have personal history on over 75% of Americans.

I've had the Amazon call, too. It's quite widespread and it is usually asking about a $77 purchase.

"We're calling about the warranty on your vehicle, it is about to expire. You could end up paying for critical maintenance..."
My vehicle has less than 10,000 miles on it and my factory warranty goes to 100K....

Believe me, it's not just the Chinese. Russians, Nigerians, good old Americans...there's crooks over all the world...

I've gotten emails that my account for that is or that account has been frozen or disabled. The funny part is that haven't been able to come up with an account that I actually have.

I received an email telling me I had just won 25 one ounce gold coins and a NIB model 58 in the "Most Handsome Man in Texas" contest. All I had to do was send $200.00 in cash (to cover shipping, gold is heavy) to this certain address. I was halfway to the post office before my wife could convince me to look into the rear view mirror that she had twisted my way. Then I sadly knew then that it was a hoax.

I've gotten that call too. I had no idea that my 2002 Isuzu Trooper with 330,000 miles on it was still under warranty. Oh well....
I've also gotten several emails telling me that my Apple account was going to be suspended if I didn't contact them via the link in the email. Well, I've lived without anything Apple related all my life so I guess if they suspend my account that's okay....

I"won" a new fully equipped Silverado. All I had to do was send $200 to a Jamaican address, so they could send me the fob and tell me where to pick up my new car. I fooled them, I am a Ford guy.

Since the call was a scam, perhaps you have to send $200 in Monopoly money?

I get the car ins. thing all the time plus a gazillion of them in the mail. They all go unanswered or straight into the recycle. Been lucky I guess with Amazon have not had any of those type calls.

Sadly, the avatar photo was taken pre covid 19, (muy guapo), things have slipped a bit since then, ha. Also a hint for all you guy out there who are getting bored staying at home. Even if you don't see anyone or go anywhere, DON'T shave your head. It doesn't look as good as it does on TV, it doesn't grow back as fast as it used to, and when your wife tells you that your head looks like a burnt match, she's probably right.
