The boy on the beach - please watch.
This a touching video of a young man who wanted to pay homage to the Americans who lost their lives on D-Day, 1944.
He came to Omaha Beach in Normandy, France 70 years after the invasion of Europe by the Allies, and what he did may bring tears to your eyes. It did to mine.
In these times of civil unrest, there are rays of hope. This is certainly one of them. Turn up the sound when you watch.

A special and touching tribute to those brave men. This filled me with both gratitude and sadness. God bless all of them.

That is just absolutely amazing.
The only thing I have seen that even approaches what that young fellow did is how some descendants of WWII veterans wear their ancestors' uniform to participate in vintage service rifle matches.

I'm glad it won't be supper time for a while. I will need some time for this lump in my throat to pass. That is the most powerful thing I've seen in some time. I couldn't help but think how proud the father of that young man must be of his son. I know some youngsters that could take a lesson from this fine young American.

Awesome. This is truly awesome. I needed this sign of hope for the youth of our nation. I know they’re out there but it good to see this fine example of one. How proud his Dad must be.
I had the great opportunity to have visited and walked all five invasion beach’s.

This could not have been more timely. I’ll pass on comparing this fine young man with the antics being seen on the news now. Any further comments would get me taken to the wood shed.

I think one of the reenactors in this may be my son. Very proud. He brought me back an M-1 clip from the beach. Worthy of great sympathy and admiration for those young men. Need more of them today in place of the whiney bunch we seem to have.

I'm grateful that one young person, Ritchie, understands what so many sacrificed for us.
Never forget.

Good Lord Paladin!
Well, thanks for raising those emotions in me. It's going to take me a while to recover. What an amazing tribute from a small boy.

This young man is an example of the patriot that will be needed to protect our country in the years to come. The bended knee group will not help, the "its all about me" group will not help and " I want more free stuff" group will not help. Sadly, it will fall on his shoulders and I pray that his mother or wife will not be the recipient of letter of regret from our government..

Thank you for sharing this video. I had not seen or heard of this one.
I was doing well until Taps was played. I have never met a person who understands the sacrifice our armed forces make who does not get their heart pulled when they hear Taps at a funeral.
For those despairing over our country, come west to the smaller rural areas and you will see lots of younger folks in pick ups driving around with American Flag Flying proudly.
I am not too sure what has prompted this. Maybe some form of reverse rebellion against the anti everything crowd? Regardless, it is heartening to see it.

I'd bet there were a few young men died on that beach that was maybe only 5 years older than that boy.
I heard back then they lied about their age to join to serve.
Maybe just talk, not sure.

The young mans actions said it all. My high school friend and fishing buddy died when the ship carrying him and hundreds of others was sunk crossing the English Channel. It happened on his Birthday.

That has been a tradition for decades. My Great-Great-Grandfather enlisted in the Union Army when he was 14.
