A friend of mine used to live in Pennsylvania and she had elk in her yard almost every day. A couple that own a LGS bought a house up near Paradise, MI have moose and bear in the yard quite regularly

Not uncommon! We get a few in Wenatchee, WA. Had a wolf pack for a while. Black bears common; cougars not so much!

If you were from California you could be a "moose whisperer" and stride on over and pet the little one.

Showed this morning to a lady at the office who is not the brightest and she said, “I have never seen such an ugly deer!”

Well, they actually are a type of deer. And they are not in the running for the cutest creatures out there.

Very cool. Don't let anybody get too close. Momma will knock you down and stomp you to death if she thinks her baby is being threatened.
They say that moose attacks kill more people than bear attacks in and around Anchorage every year.

I always thought they looked like cross between a mule and a cow. Maybe a little camel thrown in there somewhere.

We were hunting elk in northern Utah and the guys went early to scout. After 5 days & nights with regular visits by a young bull, he decided to "relocate" camp and attacked the trailer and took down several tents!

My dad came home from Korea, and his big wish was just to go hunting with his father. So he purchased a new Winchester '70 in .30-'06 He told me they loved elk and moose hunting. After seeing massive bull moose in various National Parks and wildlife preserves, I decided that going after bull moose with a .30-'06 made my dad and grandfather bad-asses. I still have that rifle. No idea where grand dad's ended up.

Go punch that moose in her ugly nose and tell her to get off your lawn!
Cool story though. No mooses in Oklahoma, but we do have elk.

Update: As was predicted by several on-line articles, including a couple of forum members... The Mamma Moose (cow) and Baby Moose (calf) have left the property/ immediate area as of Wednesday. Maybe Mamma Moose sensed they were not welcome any more and sulked off.. ?? In any case they were interesting to observe for a couple of days!! Thanks for all the nice comments.
