Im running the LTX AT2 on an 2005 Silverado 2500. best tire ive run so far. great in snow, quiet, long lasting tread.

Its not just hard rubber that gives high mileage, its also material content. Tire manufacturers will tell you they have proprietary formulations of silica, sunflower seed oil, and other ingredients to give desired performance characteristics.

3/4 ton, 8' bed, 4-wd regular cabs. The only trucks I'll ever own.

Never had a problem with Michelin, ran them for years. The mileage and reliability take care of any additional initial cost.

Update:
Put the Michelin Cross Climates on both the K2500 and the wife's 4x4 van. Ran in the Suburban's tires on a run from IL to ND and back. Great tires, nice and quiet and seem to be fairly grippy. Just waiting for the snow to see how they handle that.

Have got a 2006 F250 that I bought in 2012 with 96K miles on it... Had a brand new set of Ford forged aluminum 18" wheels and a set of BFG All-Terrains on it...
They lasted less than 40k miles and were always pulling no mater how much rotated.
When time came for a new set of tires I went with the Michelin All-Season style tread. Driving out of the parking lot it was like being in a different truck...
No more pulling, handles much better, rides softer and where the BFGs would get stuck on flat icy ground nothing stops these...
70k miles later they still had tread on them but since winter was coming (2019/20) they were replaced...with the same tire...
Just did a 175 mile trip this morning...

I put a set of Cross Climates on my mother’s Highlander which she has had previous wet traction issues with a different brand of tires, those Cross Climates will not slip now! She has been very happy with them.

I love mine and I'm very impressed and pleased with them in every situation, smooth and quiet ride.
I've done some traveling on snowy hard packed roads this year and they are still doing great.

I don't think these cross climates are going to get the mileage that yours did.
These are 3-Peak snowflake winter rated tires. They are a softer rubber compound with contributes to they excellent all weather traction.
I chose them because they are a "light truck commercial" tire and have about 30% more nylon in the sidewalls which makes them capable of carrying more weight.
They weigh about 5-6 pounds more than Michelin's best sell LT tire.
I carry a 4000 lb camper in the bed of my truck so I figured these were the best suited tire for me.

This may be a little late but, I have always had good luck with Yokohama Geolander tires. I have had Michelin tires before with no complaints. Just like the Geolanders.

I just had my rear duals replaced with Michelin Aegis tires last fall. I think thats there commercial tire. And the fronts were a different Michelin 2 years ago. I like both models.

Michelins have been on my wife's SUV for at least 70K miles. They won't need replacing for another 10K at least.

I’ve owned gm 4x4 since 1973. When the front tires start i swap the front tires right to left. When the cupping wears even I swap the front tires to the rear.
I buy tires on eBay. For my wrangler they were $100 each and shipping was $500 total. My local tire guy mounted them. On a Friday afternoon when they were slow for $80. So for $580 i got tires that cost here way more.
Look for deals on eBay maybe lower cost with free shipping.

When the OEM tires on my F-150 were replaced at about 40,000 miles, I replaced them with exactly the same size Michelin tires. I sold the truck this past summer and it had just over 110,000 miles on it. To enhance the selling of the truck, I replaced my first set of Michelins tires with a second set. A set of Michelions lasting about 70,000 mile is not bad.

I'm looking forward to my drive into town today.
These Agilis CrossClimate are awesome.
I bought my Town Car last February and it had a new set of Michelins on it.
I doubt that I'll ever know how well they do in the snow but I'm happy with them in the rain.

I'm not a very brand loyal person in general, but, I stopped running Michelin or Goodyear tires years ago when we were into off roading and rock crawling. They had a horrible reputation in the off roading community because the sidewalls were so thin and easily cut. The thin sidewall is part of the reason why so many people claim they ride so well. I don't off road any more but that stigma stuck with me. Almost all of my truck tires have been BFG ATs or MTs, good traction and thick sidewalls. That said, I just put a set of Pirelli Scorpion AT+s on my truck because I got a killer deal on them (about 1/2 the price of BFGs), and they are 3peak mountain snowflake rated, and get really good reviews, so we will see I guess. So far they handled the last snow fantastically.

Goodyear Wranglers are what is on my RAM truck. I use my truck for farm stuff and short trips to the coffee shop. My truck will never see 5000 miles in a year so I expect the Wranglers will last a very, very long time for me. I've had Wranglers on other vehicles too and have been satisfied with them.
My wife's Jeep came with Firestone Destinations and we liked them so much, we opted to put the same thing on when we bought tires for it in 2019. Unlike my truck, the Jeep sees a lot of miles.
As someone else mentioned, there are a lot of good tire brands out there nowadays. When I need tires, I mainly look for the good deals on good quality tires more than being brand loyal.
