No clue Denny, Matt usually could do things like that. He is an electronical wizard. I saw few club members and met 3 new people. Larry

Actually, that answers the question. Regular 'bunchers' and club members (club members know of the 'bunch' so they repetitively come to the 'bunch') and I saw 3 new too. So that would be 24/3.

Thanks for the pics Denny. I seem to miss this thing way more than I make it. We were in VA,NC and TN in Shenandoah National Park and Great Smokey Mountain NP checking out the fall foliage and visiting old friends.
It looks like there was a smaller crowd but some high quality hardware!

Didn’t plan on going to Berea because it’s the last week of pheasant hunting. Took my sister to the hospital last week and she tested positive for the virus. I am in quarantine. Couldn’t play Santa on the Polar before it was canceled for the rest of the year. Will miss the kids. Bummed, Larry

If asking about the Polar Express being canceled BC of my quarantine, no. The Polar did abt 48,000 people last year, they canceled to keep the few employees, huge group of volunteers and the 24,000 people that bought tickets this year SAFE. Since the virus is spiked, it was a tough decision. There are about 30-35 Santas that volunteer thru the season. 6 Santas a night are needed and someone stepped in to cover my spots. A normal season 10 Santas are needed a night, Larry

Went to the Berea show today, Sunday. Was there from 11-12:30. Surprising good crowd for a rainy cold Sunday. Was told Saturdays crowd was big.
Stopped at FFF afterward. No primers as last time, reloading powders for standard handgun and rifle cartridges non-existent. Handgun display cases were about normal, not fully packed.
Ammo shelves had signs 'no 380acp, 40S&W, 38sp, 357M,10mm, 41M, 44M in stock'. Some 9mm 124fmj limit 1 box.
That's all !

Was wondering how the show was, yesterday would have been great to be there because of the rain. Had fun putting up the Christmas tree, took 2 hours to fix the tree stand. Larry

Vendors/tables seemed pleased with the crowds. With the amount of people carrying bags with their purchases, I guess sales were good. Even when I parked to go in, many walking to their cars carrying bags of purchases. Ammo was the hot items as stores have zero stock. John, my main magazine supplier, was telling me magazines that he normally has good amounts for was zero stock, especially short for 22lr magazines. Everyone (reloaders) was asking for SP and SR primers, I should've taken some of my stock to peddle there. The last Berea show SP primers was the 'wanted' item, now SR primers have been added to that. I left a 1K of SR primers with a table at the previous Berea show, I wanted $50 and he put a $70 price on them, there was no action on them. Yesterday he told me that they sold for the $70 immediately at show opening on Saturday. The $50 I got I turned around and bought 'silver'. Things are getting scarcer.

Just bought another hi-cap mag for the Canik for 40.00 new. In 6 months they could be double or more when a hi-cap mag ban is looming or passed. It’s coming to a neighborhood near you. Will sell the 10 Para Ordnance then and get my money back. Buy what you need now, Larry

Evidently quarantine must be over.
I picked up a dozen of those custard filled 'puffs' that Tuesday after shoot, consumed 2 per day. Next time 2 dozen, kept refrigerated, were fine.
Yeay, donuts, pastry & pie ! After a 'bunch get-together', I'm the only one willing to take the extra 'sweets' home. Those pumpkin squares were OK.
About 5 months until the next 'bunch'.

Not fade away ! 19 days since a post in this thread ?
Evidently 'bunchers' don't want to tell us how they're doing.
Medina gun show Jan 9 & 10. Also a Yankee Lake gun show, supposedly a good small show, east of Warren near the Ohio/Pa line. If somebody goes, need a report.

Denny, you’re a trooper. Send a crowd report if you go to Medina. Hope to make Berea next week on Sunday. Better attend gun shows before they could be banned. Buy any hi cap mags now, they are cheap compared to when they are outlawed. Larry

I wasn't implying that I would be going to either show, just letting others know of the shows. Planning on doing Berea.
I haven't been to Medina since February of 2019. That show just doesn't interest me anymore. Too many complaints of the vendors towards the promoter. There has been too many OGCA & Medina on same weekend and the Medina promoter threatens vendors if they do OGCA instead of Medina, they'll lose their preferred spot.

Went to Berea today, Saturday. Was there from 11:45 to 2:00. Packed crowd, frenzy, frenzy, frenzy. Hot items were magazines, 9 & 45 ammo, 9 & 45 brass, 9 & 45 bullets, primers.
Sold to my main magazine supplier some S&W magazines that he was out of.
Sold five older vintage 22lr semi-auto rifles, one of the vendors I deal with for magazines bought all 5, I gave him a deal, I was happy and he was happy.
Sold the large rifle primers I took with me, Joyce at Kendall Ordnance table put them on her table, she marked up my prices and they sold rather quickly. I got what I wanted and she got the mark-up price so she made $50 to help pay for the table(s).
Picked up 3 S&W pistol magazines.
On the way towards out to leaving, stopped by a table that I noticed when doing the show walk-thru, he had much 38 Super bullets that people were ignoring because they weren't marked 9mm. They're the same !!! I've reloaded 38 Super bullets into 9s' and experienced NO difference. I bought all he had on the table and his table prices were low because nobody wanted them. Got 200 FMJ and 400 JHP.
Only firearm that caught my attention was a Remington 742 BDL Semi-Auto in 30-06. The price was very nice at $585. It would be like an AR10 but not have the 'black rifle' look. Since I used to reload 30-06 (still have the dies) and recently picked up a S&W bolt action in 30-06, it would be a compatable addition.
Long post of a good show.

An interesting comment from at yesterdays Berea show. The 'Yankee Lake' gun show (near the PA line) was the previous weekend and my main magazine supplier said even though the show venue was small, their sales were high. Very many coming over from PA for magazines and one came all the way from Connecticut to be able to buy/acquire magazines.

Thought the show started with a smaller crowd, when I left at noon it was crowded but not overcrowded. Watched the tables for items needed, didn’t find much, bought some 30-06 brass for a friend. Good day, seemed the S&W revolvers were priced high where prices were visible . Not looking for any firearms so that was good. One guy was selling primers for 200.00 per 1000, crazy. Sold one gun just after I entered in Dan T’s building, didn’t have to carry it. Hope we will still have gun shows to attend in the future, like talking & browsing Larry

I was looking for 30-06 brass too but all Joyce at Kendall Ordnance had was Mil LC, I want once fired either R-P or Win. Talked to the table with the $200 primers, he wasn't selling any, really ! The other forward building had a table with primers at half that, he wasn't selling any either. Mine sold on Joyce's table in an hour. Sell at a decent price for a profit but don't gouge. All that brass, bullets, powder I sold for at the 2020 cancelled spring bunch, everybody got a great deal.

Akron show Jan 23 & 24, I'm planning on Saturday. With scarcities and prices increasing, gonna be taking ammo and components to make some money.
In going thru/sorting components to sell, found a bag of new Winchester 30-06 brass, so don't need to look for those anymore.

Went to the Akron show today, Saturday. Got there at 11:45, parking lot full, managed to find a spot in the first row so short walk to the line waiting to get in, maybe 50 people. A line at noon waiting to get in(?) caused me to imagine about inside and yep, frenzy, frenzy, frenzy. Packed with people. Walked the show examining tables. More S&W revolvers than normally seen lately. Didn't look at any for model numbers and pricing. Seemed like a lot of long gun and AR sales occurring. AR uppers and drum magazines were selling well. Pistol magazines were in demand. Ammo, what little there was, was flying off the tables irregardless of price. Lot of tables had 'baggie'(maybe 10-20 rounds) packages of ammo to sell since normal boxes of ammo was in short supply. The most unusual aspect of that was to be able to buy a 'baggie' of 10 rounds of 22lr. No reloading components existed but did see some limited quantities of 9mm and 45 brass. Did my socializing with the tables/vendors I knew. Was there till 3:45, unusual for me to spend 4 hours at a show. Sold nothing(the components I took along to sell) and bought nothing.
It is getting worse !!!

Went to the Mentor show this morning, was there about an hour. Was slightly larger than I thought it was gonna be. Good crowd traffic. Lot of tables had ammo and it was selling at high prices. 9mm and 45acp and 223/5.56 in demand.
Picked up some collectable ammo, Super Vel 9mm and S&W 44M.
Sold primers, some ammo, and some components.

Missed the comments the last few days, the iPad gets goofy sometimes. Won’t be at Medina but hopefully at Berea the next weekend.
Will find out within a few days the next NE Ohio Bunch date, will be early April. Don’t want to say the date until I am sure. Way too much going on this spring. Was hoping to have it late May because of the virus but dates don’t work with what the club has available. Larry

Great that the president of NOSC got back to me fast. The next Bunch will be April 3 from 9 am till 3 pm the day before Easter. It’s the only Saturday that works for 2 months. Usually only have a choice of 2 Saturday’s each meeting after weekends are eliminated. Will contact Matt to put the word out and start a new thread tonight hopefully. Larry

Arrived saturday 11am the line curled all the way to the fence and then some. 40 minutes later i payed my 7$ and saw lots of long guns walking around lots of the tables had ammo 9mm 35-50$ for 50 rounds .45 acp 40-50$ .38 sp obscene. So glad i bought a couple thousand each of .38&45acp.I can say prices were crazy high s&w 67s 799/850 model 10s 700 28s with wear 1000$ too many other high prices to list i guess i’ll be thankful i have my 28-681-686-625 resting comfortably in my safe. I may be retired from the shows if this continues (i think it’s going to get worse )
