Persephone rejoins Hades today
The Autumnal Equinox is today at 9:30AM Eastern Time. Summer ends in the northern hemisphere as our sun's position crosses southward over the equator, or in Greek mythology, Goddess Persephone descends to the darkness of the underworld, and rejoins her husband Hades.
Persephone:
Have a great Autumn y'all.

Is that a TV clicker in her hand????
What I am NOT looking forward to is the shift back to regular time. I really do not want to add another hour to 2020-it has dragged on far too long already
Oh and down here it is pronounced percy phone

Now I spend a lot of time sitting in a tree pondering the world's problems while waiting on Mr Buck.

That's a Sistrum, a musical percussion instrument. She's probably jamming on some Zydeco on her way to Hades.

Just in case somebody wants to put the day to constructive use, there‘s apparently an e-book for you ....
(I hope that making fun of this doesn‘t run afoul of forum rules on religion )

Na...that just applies to organized religion-we're talking here about animal sacrifices, graven images and dancin' around the fire pit in the rain

I don't know about that but if he's been baching it for 6 months, I'll bet the place was one hell of a mess when she got there!

Envious, still hanging at 98 to 100 or so here in the SW. Fall cannot come soon enough....over 150 days more like 165 days no rain & 100 plus degrees (many days at 110 plus all the way to 114) the entire time except for perhaps a few days here and there. I am so friggin over summer.

She's kinda cute, but as she's married I was about ask if she had a sister...
Slightly OT trivia, there's a theory that "zydeco" is a Louisiana Creole transmogrification of the French, "Les haricots ne sont pas salés" ("The beans aren't salty", or, colloquially, "times are hard.")

Not really, but am I allowed to say "...but they look good on her" here without getting an infraction?

So, Persephone is a snowbird. Great. Like we didn’t have enough of them here already.
