lost my best friend
My best friend, since high school, passed away recently from glioblastoma brain cancer. He fought it for 3 years, now he is with the Lord and is no longer suffering. I knew it was coming, but it's still hard. Due to the virus he couldn't have visitors, so I wasn't allowed to see him.
Cancer sucks.

My sincere condolences.
It sucks that you couldn't see him due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Cherish your memories.

Thanks. The world is emptier without him. The family had just moved, I was starting over in a new school. I was sitting around by myself. He sat down next to me, introduced himself, and we've been friends ever since.

Just found your post. Terrible to loose such a good life long friend. Worse to not even be able to see him due to this pandemic. God bless you and all who grieve the passing of your friend. Sincerely. bruce.

I'm sorry for your loss. Not allowing someone in to see a terminal patient because of COVID-19 is like using alcohol to clean the arm of a condemned man before inserting the needle.

Johngalt, I am very sorry for your loss. Brain tumors are always tough, a roller-coaster ride for patients and their families.
About a decade ago, a good friend lost his teenage son to a glioblastoma; the boy was diagnosed at age 12, and underwent more surgeries and treatments than I can remember for about 4 years before he finally succumbed.
My best friend and I have been like brothers since elementary school...almost 60 years now. I dragooned him into taking the fire department entrance exam, and we worked together on and off during our careers. I can't imagine not having him to talk to and quaff a few with.
Please accept my sincere condolences...I will keep you and your friend in my prayers.

One of the times I talked to him after he was diagnosed, he had an amazing, positive attitude about it. He said that it made him value the time he had left and gave him clarity on what was important. He spent his last years with friends, family, and trying to make a positive difference in the world. He wouldn't trade those experiences for anything.

I lost my best friend of 33 years back in early 2016. Walked into his trailer for our usual Saturday get together and found he had passed in his sleep the previous night. It is a hole in your life that can never be filled. Almost 5 years later and I still get that tight chest and watery eyes now and then out of the blue. My sincere condolences for your loss. I understand what you are going through.

Your friend isn't sad because he knows he'll see you again. Have faith.
I have one friend that I lost when we were in our early 30's. I miss him all of the time.
Then I remember Eternity. We'll drag race again soon enough.
