Likely an elementary question:
Since watching NASA near all our lives.
It was always hold your breath time whenever
one of our modules or shuttle returned.

Protecting the heat shield was paramount.
How do they enter out atmosphere ?

We are flying planes and doing things in our lives that no one would have believed possible 60-70 years ago. The F-80 and the Ryan Fireball were things of amazement. The F-80 engine initially had a life of 25 hours unless you got two hot starts and then it was changed even if it had only five hours. Look at the size and thrust of engines and what they now propel. A car was just bare transportation, look at them now.
Space travel, who would have believed it? I am just saying that anything is possible, even if we do not now understand or believe it. We can type a lot of words but none of us really know.

I try to keep an open mind about such things. Waiting on hard facts and evidence, not blurry photos/videos.

What I find more interesting are the cattle mutilations mostly found out west. Not meaning to hi jack the thread but do your own search.

There are many things I used to be skeptical about. Two I no longer am. One is ghosts and the other UFO's.

East Texas tends to be a mecca of sorts for weird craft. Back in the late 70's early 80's the Houston Chronicle did a story on an incident near Dayton, Texas. Several of the witnesses were laughed at...until they started coming down with radiation sickness.

My case was the wee hours of a Sunday morning working the overnight shift. I was in close proximity to not only Bush IAH but the Port of Houston and "Refinery Row". What I saw was a bright red light to the northeast doing manuvers that no conventional aircraft could do before shooting up at a monsterous rate of speed and out of site. There was NO WAY it could have not appeared on Bush's radar. I always suspected it was something of ours and not ET in origin as that close to several major cities, a major airport, numerous refineries and a world class port that if it wasn't known, interceptors would've been dispatched from Ellington Field or San Antonio to check it out.

I've seen one, by myself, but convincing enough to become a believer. Religion aside, we'd be foolish to believe that we're alone. Also believe that our atmosphere and water is ripe for harvesting by unknowns - like what happened to Mars. Too much sifi for me.

I also just watched "The Phenomenon". What caught my attention was that about 13 minutes in, they showed the front page of the Binghamton Press from 1952, my hometown newspaper!

Now on to my story: This takes place in the early 1960's, and I was probably around 10 or 12 years old. A bunch of family members were sitting at a picnic table at our summer cottage in northeast PA, just south of Binghamton. Probably around 5 or 6 in the evening. I looked up to the east, and saw a large, silver, cigar shaped object about a quarter mile away. It appeared stationary, but elevated about 30 degrees. Probably the size of typical passenger airliner was in the day, but no wings or engines visible. I turned to others at the table to ask if they see it. My aunt said she did. By the time I looked back, it took off like the proverbial bat out of hell. No sign of it after that, all though there were many other UFO reports that summer around that time, mostly attributed to "swap gas". Don't know what I saw, but swamp gas is a really hard sell for me.

While I do believe in the existence of Extraterrestrial Life, I'm highly skeptical of the existence of advanced Extraterrestrial civilization capable of interstellar travel, much less that even if they do exist that they'd ever bother to visit this planet frequently enough to account for every single UFO sighting in history.

I suspect that most UFO sightings are experimental military aircraft which may appear to be extremely advanced to the lay person, but is merely cutting-edge terrestrial aeronautics technology which is often times never seen again simply because it was either too expensive or otherwise not reliable enough to qualify for mass production/adoption.
I believe this is also why you seldom hear of mass UFO sightings over a major Metropolitan city, but rather in more sparsely populated rural areas. Because if you're going to field test top secret military aircraft that is practically impossible to do without civilians taking notice, then you build your base out in the sticks and test-fly your aircraft over farmland where very few folks will likely be awake to see it, and those who are will most likely be dismissed as either drunks or simple country folk who can't tell a jet from a flying saucer. Besides, even if folks believe them, what exactly did they see? They can't very well see any high-speed aircraft flying high in the sky in at night with any detail or clarity, so it doesn't really matter, and if they want to believe that it's some ultra-advanced spacecraft which is completely beyond anything the military could possibly build, then all the better.

But hey, that's honestly just my opinion, and I've never seen a UFO because I live in the suburbs near an airport, so even if I did see one, I would most likely automatically dismiss it as terrestrial aircraft unless it was something particularly spectacular that I could see with a level of clarity which likely exceeds what my eyesight is even capable of unless the darn thing were hovering right over my backyard. So if you truly believe that you saw an honest to goodness extraterrestrial interstellar spacecraft while completely sober, then who am I to question it?
Heck, I generally avoid questioning the beliefs of others in general because as far as I'm concerned, reality is irrelevant towards belief, ergo if someone believes in something then it is real to them, thus rendering their thoughts, feelings, and opinions on the matter entirely valid. Besides, my own beliefs include supernatural forces which completely defy human comprehension, so who am I to question something which is objectively easier to believe such as extraterrestrial drive-by tourists?

Lastly, I would just like to add that I do not believe in Extraterrestrial Human Abduction, particularly those which claim to have been experimented on sexually for the purpose of creating hybrid lifeforms, on the grounds that I would imagine that any advanced extraterrestrial civilization capable of interstellar travel must be aware by now that there are plenty of human beings who would happily submit to such experimentation of their own free will. Seriously, they could scope out any Star Trek, Star Wars, or any other Sci-Fi Convention, follow some of those folks home, then merely beam down one of their finer specimens dressed up in a way that would appeal to the target demographic, then simply politely ask if they would like to take part in an interstellar breeding program. Somehow I doubt they'd be universally denied, even if they're a race of space squids or something, they'd probably get at least a few eager participants.

The BFG. It’s in the movie, so it must be true.

Or, the phased plasma rifle in the 40-watt range.

I most certainly believe in UFO's in the strictest interpretation of the term in that objects flying that defy our identification. Do they come from other planets or galaxies? I have seen no proof of that but the possibility does exist IMO. Back in my working days I worked a lot of long hours at night and mostly in good weather so the stars and planets were very visible working away from towns as I did. I spent a lot of time observing the sky just because it is interesting. I have seen a handful of odd things but no saucers or cigar shape or ovals. Just lights some moving very fast noticeably faster than jets but slower than meteors. perhaps the two oddest were a green fireball that streaked north to south and shortly before it disappeared it made a abrupt turn to the east and was gone. The other was just last winter. I was out on the porch looking in the southwest sky for one of the few constellations I can identify. I saw a very bright light at great altitude or so it seemed. Much brighter than any planet I know of. It caught my attention. While watching it the light intensified greatly and then instantly was just gone. I haven't a clue what either of these were and know little about astronomy to say that they could not have been normal celestial events. Interesting enough to keep me looking up on clear nights.
Harmless fun and cheap entertainment for an old man. Meteor showers are fun to watch by the way.

I don’t believe in UFO’s but I will say this.

It might be a bit arrogant of us to think we are the only living beings and/or inhabited planet That God created. He could have created us only or there might a dozen others. No one will ever know.

Also, if they are out there we will never see them and they will never see us.

If they are out there snooping on us why have they not come to colonize earth after the beginning of time? Seems like their scouting party’s might be a bit dense. Or they are afraid.

The civilization on earth has destroyed itself four times I believe. Where on the brink of doing it again.

The aliens made us humans by using the caveman and adding their genes to him. We are not part of the evolution theory. History we have been taught is wrong. The aliens are working with us teaching us, we’re did the advancements about our dna come about?

Do UFO's exist?

Couldn't tell ya, ain't never seen one.

But on the other hand, who'd of believed that you could take a bunch of tiny little particles that you can't even see, smash them together, and blast the living snot out of something.

Back in High School and before the”911 system,” we made UFO’s out of dry cleaner bags and fluffed up rolls of “medical cotton.” After filling the bag we’d light the bottom and as it got hotter, it would glow red, rise at increasing speed and finally burst into flame brilliantly. Great fun causing many locals to report to cops what they saw. Joe

I've never seen a UFO but then I've never seen Australia either. I do believe that there's a chance that both may exist.

The danger came from the friction of the capsule traveling at a over 17,000 mph. through the atmosphere reaching 3,000 degrees F.
The SR71 has a alleged ceiling of 85,000’ traveling at nearly 2,200 mph.
Alan Eustace released from a balloon at over 135,000’ and hit a top speed of 822 mph.
Still fast but a fraction of reentry speed.
Ain’t the height but the velocity.
UFOs seem not to be bothered by gravity if you believe the reports of huge craft moving slowly without any detectable means of propulsion.

We don't really know what gravity is anyway. Maybe someone else has figured it out.

I was a young boy living in Washington D.C. during the "saucer flap" of 1952. That instilled in me a lifelong curiousity about WHAT is going on?
There are many (really CREDIBLE people) eyewitnesses that you can watch on video relating incredible things . My best friend (who I would trust with my life) related a personal observation of a large dark object floating down over power lines at twilght when he was parked with girlfriend. He has never flinched over the years when recalling that "sighting". His girlfriend on that night became my sister-in-law decades later. When asked by me about it, she backed up their sighting 100% . More recently, I personally questioned an associate about the sighting he was reporting of a slow moving "large dark triangle" he saw going overhead. He had been walking his dog at 4 A.M. here in N. Colorado when he saw it.
Secret government projects? Some are certainly. If some are NOT ...what the heck are they ?

Area 51 is surely REAL.

The recent film from those Navy pilots is real and quite unexplainable.

Far too many planets and systems in the vastness of space to think we are it.

Probably some other beings are looking for a new food source. Many people have thought of this before me. Why else would they even bother with us?

Earth is a pretty dysfunctional place because of people. If there were only plants and animals, 99% of the world's problems wouldn't exist.

Most people wouldn’t believe what a US fighter jet can do when they buzz you in anger. Doesn’t explain all sightings.

With some aliens, meat is on the menu, that’s humans and animals. They made a deal with Ike to take some humans with them. Wether it’s for study or breeding food your call.

Now there are shape shifters and inter dimensional travelers. I believe it anyway. I’m a expert tracker, I been tracking for many decades. I’ve had run ins with bigfoot in the summertime but never see tracks in the snow. The hard pack ground doesn’t show tracks. They seem to move more in the fall, wether they migrate or not. I’m followed down the old logging access roads by something big breaking branches above me up on the mountain. I turn up my scope all the way open the bolt and scan the mountainside. I see nothing, no movement at all. Yet when I walk it walks, I stop it stops. I hear branches breaking as it walks. I been up on this ridge and it’s covered with smaller blow down evergreens. There’s no way to walk through it quietly. I think the bigfoot was engineered as a worker by aliens. To harvest gold that they need and the plan was given up and this creature stayed here.

There are different dimensions of time. We’re living in a false world nothing is real. The dinosaurs are in one dimension, ect and so on. Somehow time travel ties into this too.

NASA knows about life on other planets. There’s a hollow earth and moon. Valiant Thor lives in Venus.

I wish I knew more on what’s true or false but the truth is hidden. Just who are the men in Black? Who runs planet earth?

My father said he was involved in Bluebook and convincingly told us the stories of animal dissections, disappearing people, strange aircraft, etc. Once he had dementia we found it was all cover for the mid-range nuclear missiles that he was working on and told to never talk about. Guys lose a bunch of hours and get home way late. Alien abduction? Has to be a better than saying we were at the gentlemen's bar.

Clearly people are seeing things they can't explain. I have no idea what they have seen, but I believe them. There are too many credible people who have share credible experiences. Personally, I think there are multiple explanations. I have never experienced a sighting or ghost, but I would like too.

Thinking about my earlier post. At the speed attributed to UFOs, if they are true, I wonder what the temperatures generated at that speed through denser low altitude air would be?

If you ever saw a flying saucer you would believe. One late night I was
cruising along a lonesome highway North of the Automic Energy Reservation
over between Arco and Idaho Falls. No, I had not been
drinking. The saucer was hovering, and then took off at an unbelieveable
speed.

More of a thrill however, one time I was cruising North of Las Vegas on
my way home and heard a God awful sound. A B52 passed over me from
in back to front. Must have been practicing low level flying to fly under
radar, because it looked to me like a hundred yard high.

A friend and I were deer hunting years back while taking a break on a hill we heard a roar approaching. A big low flying jet, that looked as though it was level to us, came past, threading it’s way between the hills. We lost sight of it, and I was expecting to hear it crash. Probably Air National Guard training something.

I had my first experience several weeks ago. What I saw glowed brighter than the full moon on a clear night, had distinct hard edges, no running lights, tracked across the sky faster than anything I've ever seen, and did so in complete silence. It took a few seconds after it was gone to realize what I had just seen and it unsettled me for days.

Gotta go with the authoritative source: M-25 Phased Plasma Pulse-Gun - Terminator Wiki - Terminator Genisys - Genisys Revolution - Skynet

I believe Westinghouse has discontinued the M-25, but the Lorcin clone remains available.

Houston had a mass UFO scare years back, the word on the street was that the aliens were coming to check out NASA. Turns out it was our new circular highway lights reflecting off the fog and clouds. Color me skeptical with respect to what ya'll may have seen.

We were on top of a mountain in vt hunting when a b52 made a low pass so low I could see the rivets. It’s scary big.

Back in my younger days I would "burn the forest down." I would see UFO's of all shapes, sizes, and colors.

Friend of mine witnessed a B52 crash in California. He said it looked like slow motion and took forever.

WARP Drive or faster-than-light space travel is being seriously investigated by NASA and scientists in other countries. I have read that Japanese scientists successfully created Warp Drive in the laboratory. They were only able to create it for three seconds but it nonetheless proves theory is possible.

It has been bothering me and I would like to know if the Aliens are capable of intergalactic space travel, why do they only visit people who live in trailer parks?

IIRC, a German U-Boot in the Bay of Biscay, was overflown by a fling disc in 1941. The Captain recorded it in the log book.

Wait. Forget that. Space Fleet hasn't released it yet. Still secret.

UFOs are fairly common. I'm one.
