Default Where’s Waldo?

This pic is from my walk yesterday. See if you can find Waldo:

I’ll point him out explicitly later, but in the meantime, give it a try!

Waldo is a fern, well concealed because you can’t tell him apart from the other ferns.

In a loud voice, say, “I’m gonna clean your fern,” and see who cringes in horror.

WOW! Eventually found him...but it was darn tough. Had to enlarge the picture. Nice job! Gotta admit though, I was at first looking for a little skinny guy with glasses wearing a red and white striped shirt.

Just left of center.

Nice little buck! Looks like a 4-point, but he could have short brow tines. if I saw him during deer season, I'd definitely be glassing him.

You guys are good!

I didn’t see him initially. As we were walking along, my wife suddenly said, “There’s an elk!”

I said, “Whaaat?! There aren’t any elk around here!”

She said, “I hope it doesn’t chase us! Thank goodness it isn’t a bear!”

I thought she was kidding, but then it moved and I saw she’d spotted a deer. It’s a buck. The antlers are obscured by the branches. A fine fat fellow. (Dunno where the “elk” came from, but English is not her first language.)

Where’s Waldo?

If Waldo has a brain in his head, he's hiding out until he finds out what 2021's T&C's are going to be. I don't blame him one damn bit, I wish I could..

I saw his cousin about 10 feet in front of my truck the other morning just
before daylight. Best I could tell he was a 6 pointer although he was moving on when he passed in front of the truck.

That reminds me of a gun show outing maybe 25 years ago with two friends. I was driving on the expressway, Paul (now passed away) was in the front seat and Chris was in the back. Paul was smart, funny and loved guns, but has issues after serving in Vietnam. A large group of pigeons took flight from under an overpass, just in front of us. Paul pointed and said “Look at the ducks!”

Whenever we were together after that and saw an kind of bird (except a duck), either Chris or I would point and say, “Look at the duck!”

The question isn't "WHERE is Waldo?", the real question is "WHEN is Waldo?"

(This is an in-joke, to find out whether anyone here has watched "Dark" )

Waldo? Near Gainesville. Used to be a world renowned speed trap. Thankfully no more. Local police force disbanded.
