Default So My Neighbor Today.....

I was out for my walk today, and heard my dogs barking in the backyard. They were barking at a group yelling and hollering on the street behind our house.

I walked around and down the street in question. Apparently one of the "neighbors" was angry at the contractors who had been working at his home for the past few weeks.

Contractors were yelling that he hadn't paid them and the "neighbor' was yelling that the contractors should "be men and threaten me again to my face". Slight problem was, he was running around with a rifle.

I don't believe I would have been in range of his rifle long without some serious cover.

I walked by and snapped those as I passed.

The contractors saw me, so I'm sure they told responding LE that I had taken pictures. I was still out walking the neighborhood (NOT in the same area).

In talking with other neighbors via the neighborhood chat app, come to find out he has intimidated several of his immediate neighbors. One is on the HOA board. One of her daughters is friends with one of my daughters, and bless her heart, she has two other daughters with MS.

I have researched his history, and it is pretty much what you can imagine it is. Sad, but the reality is that these kind of knuckleheads migrate out here from the surrounding metro areas.

To be honest, not sure anyone went into custody despite the fact he IS a felon.

Wow, why people decide to solve disputes by brandishing a firearm has always escaped me. Glad it ended well. Anyone who has ever watched Fear Thy Neighbor knows how things can go with a bad neighbor and firearms.

If he actually is a previously convicted felon, I know an AUSA up the road who could get him indicted and convicted based upon that picture alone . . .

I don't know about your state but here in Washington state a felon in possession of a firearm is taken very seriously. He was brandishing which equals threatening their lives. The police should have cuffed him up and put in a cruiser. The rifle he had should be seized, and a search warrant done.

Yep, that right there is why legal gun owners are given a bad name.

Put that bozo in a cage for a very long time!

Did you notify the police that you have photos of the alleged felon with a gun? Or do we need to wait until he uses it on one of your neighbors.

The anger level in this country is completely out of control. I have no clue what will help , except maybe a mandatory Valium dose each day.

Top three reasons I would move to a different location:

1. Excessive increases in my taxes
2. My home is no longer large enough for my growing family
3. My neighbors argue with contractors while carrying AR-15’s

I’d call the cops, tell ‘em what I saw, and give ‘em the pix. That guy loose in the neighborhood is a clear and present danger.

They scrambled that many cops for a felon walking around toting a rifle and intimidating people with it - and the didn't arrest the guy?

What kind of lunatic asylum city/state do you live in?
