I clicked on this thinking back to my LEO days, where I met every kind of weirdo imaginable, & got a good chuckle, thanks!

The nut doesn't fall to far from the tree, you must be in there somewhere.

For cookies you GOT to have a bag of either..........
Pecan or Walnuts on hand.
Maybe a few chocolate chips too, if you can eat them.

A handful of cashews and a sharp cheddar cheese stick is a pretty common lunch for me.

Me too I'm married....... My wife doesn't allow nuts in the house. Just ask Angus and the cat.

Macadamia nuts are $25/lb. We hope to get them out of layaway by Christmas.

I live in the town where Beer Nuts are made. There cashews are excellent. Our jogging/walking/cycling trail goes behind the building. On mornings they are cooking, the aroma is amazing. I can't eat peanuts for medical reasons and gave up on the cashews also.
Due to the virus, their store is closed until after the holidays. You can order online however.

You've either not encountered an American Black Walnut, or you are one tough man.
I like all sorts of nuts, but Hickory nuts are hard to beat. Pistachios are pretty good too.

Brazil nuts
Macadamias
Pistachios
Black walnuts
Almonds
The kids call Brazil nuts " Radium nuts" - a little dose keeps the ol' immune system activated
Brazil Nuts

Make it a mix of both.
Edit. took a look at pictures of American Black Walnuts. They do look like tough nuts to crack. But we don't have them here.

1. Spanish Peanuts. Always loved them and used to get them warm at a department store near our house. The Kroger ones for a $1.69 are always great.
2. Basically any other kinds of roasted peanuts. Just salt and oil, no flavors.
3. Beer Nuts.
4. Cracker Jack peanuts.
5. Sunflower seeds/nuts, salted or chocolate covered only.
6. Cashews, take them or leave them, my sister's all time favorite. If I got some for Halloween, we traded peanuts for cashews.
7. Now we are getting into the ones I hate. Brazil nuts. Wow, not good.
8. Pecans, they taste like old tree bark, but aren't awful.
9. Pistachios. I really hate them. Of course, for years I got a giant can or even two as a Christmas gift. I gave them away.
10. And the ones I hate the most. Almonds. Bitter, nasty, I recently tried the Smokehouse ones they were giving samples away at Sam's or Costco, and they were the worst ever.
But I'm a picky old guy, so it's meaningless. I hate a LOT of stuff almost everyone else likes. The list is long..

Well, this certainly is a comprehensive list.....
Although my list is quite different than yours, I would definitely agree on the value of a good bag of Beer Nuts. They often go under-rated but I can make a bunch of them disappear in a hurry!
