I do inventory checks for my company.

We were missing some sewer and drain fittings, S&D is the abbreviation.

So on our internal computer message system I typed "missing 7 S&W bushings "

Luckily I caught myself before I sent it.

You know you're a gun guy in general when you're out and about, see a number sequence somewhere (address, license plate, billboard, etc.), and the first thing you think of is the gun with the corresponding model number.

Not that that's ever happened to me...

You know you're a gun guy and married the right gal when:

I saw a nice house for sale recently with a "1911" address!

I took a picture of the house and the address on the mail box! I said we should go have look! She said "COOL lets go"!

I said I was just kidding, she seemed disappointed!

We live on an un-named county lane. I went to the county to see if I could have the lane named "Smith and Wesson Lane". They looked up their records and said it was already taken!

.....when you spend 80 hours at a workbench in a classroom at the Smith and Wesson Academy in Springfield to get an armorer's certification from the company..... and another 200 hours in re-certification classes over the next 30+ years. Wow, it didn't seem that long at the time.

Our entire home is floored in GONCALO ALVES, (tigerwood),,
if I drop the 617 with combat grips, it blends in so well with the floor, it takes me two weeks to find the revolver,,



about 6 months after installation, the floor naturally darkened to a very close match to these guns.

When you look at the clock and the time is 3:57 or 5:56. When the barometer reads 30.06. Anything with 45. Girls with .38s or .44s. Gota love female gun collectors.

Just watched a movie (Wade in the water). Girl is holding a S&W revolver she says, "Is it ready to shoot?" Guy says "The safety". She fiddles with something. Being a S&W guy I knew there was no safety there to fiddle with. Movie gun ignorance!

You know that you are an S&W guy when at every gunshow or LGS, you root through every box of old S&W mags hoping to find a second or third gen mags even though you know the are all M&P, and SD9 mags because you just went through the same box of mags the weekend before.

I was a telephone man for 38 years. Numbers come easy to me. But most pf my older S&W's don't have them. LOL.

When all the passwords for your devices and apps are S&W model numbers. It’s weird, but it works for me.

When your last name is Smith and you name your dog “Wesson”.....

When you take the dog for a walk in the neighborhood, the kids get all excited and say “Look, here comes Mr. Smith and Wesson”.

Yeah, especially if your last name is Rorer or Lemon. My 1st Apt. address no. was 714.
I have no gun numbers in my phones or address. I don't even know my license plate numbers.
Back in the Super Steelers '70s, many guys would give you their number to remember like xxx-Lambert Greenwood.

I bet this counts, and I wish I had an opportunity to snap a picture, but the moment came and went swiftly. I was passing a fellow towing a very nice cabin cruiser boat (well that's what they used to be called), and I caught the name on the stern;
