Default Calling Firefox experts

I've discovered that Firefox on my computer has developed an unfixable issue, even after a complete deletion and reinstall after deleting the app data. I cannot edit any bookmarks. It has me utterly stumped. Multiple searches on the Web came up empty.

Any help gratefully received.

OK, nevermind, I fixed it. Apparently the old way of editing bookmarks does not work, but the "Properties" tag makes you think you can. That's weird.

My Firefox has updated numerous times in the last two or three weeks, last time as late as yesterday. Only problem I have had is a specific game site I go to and when I try to bring up the game it tells me something is worng with the sites security and it gives me a button to click taht says try again, most times just one time clicking will do the job but occasionally I need to click it two or three times. Don't know about bookmarks haven't tried to edit them.

I had used Firefox for a decade on a couple generations of PC and one day, it started taking over memory to 100% every time I wanted to use the computer. I tried to get support from Mozilla, but that proved to be fruitless effort. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, no change. Dumped it and loaded Chrome about 4 months ago. Different look and feel, but one can get used to it quickly. Now my memory never rises above 30% and computer speed is much better.

The main problem with Foxfire seemed to be that even when the application was closed, I go the Task Manager and find that there are 7 or more Foxfire entries listed and Memory and/or CPU usage was sky high. I could end all tasks, but the next time I used Foxfire, they all came back. Not worth the effort and am happy to have it gone.

That was a common issue at one time, but I haven't seen it in years now. I currently have 14 tabs open, and Firefox is using just under 1GB of memory (out of 16).

I still have Firefox on the 'puter, but I use Chrome now. Better browser and easier to use.

I don't like that feeling of Google having an arm up where the Sun doesn't shine.

That's my reason for sticking with Firefox.
