Kim's Convenience
This series on Netflix is good for a chuckle or two. About a Korean family that runs a convenience store in Toronto. Like a Korean Father Knows Best with more laughs.

The wife and I actually enjoyed watching that show, and can't wait till the next season is released.

On your recommendation, my wife and I decided to watch one. I think we're four in now, and we've been howling a lot. Good stuff!
Thanks so much, amigo!

I am wondering if they are done? IMDB doesn't show any season for 2021. I guess the last episode could have been a finish but it was a real stretch.

Wiki shows it was renewed for 2 years.
The show reminded me of Corner Gas, another Canadian show. While checking on the above I saw a couple writers worked on both shows.

The cast of Corner Gas got old and retired - but they are back in animated form.

This Covid stuff has got me staying home. I've been watching a lot of series on Netflix and Amazon, much of it originates in The UK, Canada, Australia and even New Zealand. They use their own countries talent and they don't have a ton of movie star wanabes like the U.S. where there's a actor/actress under every rock. None of the aforementioned countries seem to trade talent with one another, so seeing the same people in different rolls on different movies/series is common.

I started watching this after Jcmack's recommend, and I agree it's the bomb. Very funny stuff, and Mr. Kim is my new hero . . .

We have also started watching as a result of this thread. In addition to being good comedy, it is also a great human interest story. I had to hand the wife some tissue during the scene where Mr. Kim is singing harmony with his family from the church hallway.
With their flaws, the Kim family is just like most others, regardless of culture or national origin.
