Haven't had it. No plans to get it.

Thanks, means a lot. Seems that's all that can be done. I am nothing but bewildered by this. There is absolutely zero understanding of this and hence zero "solid information." Today is day 20 since diagnosis and she's sicker than ever. No fever at all but now coughing up blood. CT looks like broken glass lining the lungs. And I'm not allowed in for any reason, no hand holding, nothing. I work, pray, cry, stiffen up, keep standard routine going. I have found that I ain't half as tough as I once thought I was. Joe

I am hoping for some mild side effects as that indicates your body is building immunity. I will gladly take a couple of days of side effects rather than a minute on a ventilator.

With my age and all my medical issues there's no debating about my getting the vaccine.

I received my first shot of the Moderna today at a max vaccination event that was very well run. It was my first shot in over 20 years! Slightly sore arm, mild aches of the kind I associate with colds, and no fever. I felt a bit guilty about getting it when there are so many others who need it, but I was asked to because I provide in-person services to members of the I/DD community as a volunteer. The various shutdowns in my area have been really rough for these guys, so hopefully we can get programs running again soon!

Our 48 year old son works as a front line health worker and has received both his shots; no ill affects. My 93 year old MIL received her first one with no ill affects. My wife and I, 73, should get ours soon. In our area, the vaccine has been very efficiently distributed and administered.
