Up on a nice sunny day for new people to see. If you have been wanting to see what we do, do it. There will be a person attending (if he actually makes it) that has the nicest S&W’s at the gun shows, they are top notch collectibles, Larry

I am sorry but it looks like we will be in Spokane WA that weekend. Of course with the Corona anything could change but that is the current plan.
I was planning to bring my latest obsession with .44, 460 and 500 magnum short barrel revolvers.

4 weeks to go and those 4 weeks will breeze by.
I've got 4 more gun shows to do by then, Medina, Yankee Lake, Akron, Berea. Whatever components, ammo, & firearms I don't sell by then I'll be bringing to the 'bunch'.

You are right Denny, April 3 will be here quickly. You have a good eye at the shows for finding things. Gonna celebrate Tuesday with a Fragapanes doughnut. Larry

Responses seem low, seems like only 11, not including you and I, Larry.
Tomorrow Saturday will be Medina for me and then Yankee Lake on Sunday for me.

Went to the Medina show today, Saturday. Got there at noon (to be able to park close) and stayed about an hour. Good crowd, tables seemed busy. Sold some ammo, picked up two S&W 39series magazines and 38special brass from Kendall Ordnance. Didn't see much in S&W revolvers.
Tomorrow it'll be the Yankee Lake show.

Glad you gave feedback, seems people are trying to buy before something happens out of the DC area. Tomorrow is interesting, never heard of Yankee Lake, big show? Larry

Supposedly a small show with buyers coming from New York, Connecticut, Mass. So I'll see about that ?
The drive for me would be like your drive to the Solon range. Should be a little further than my drives to the Warren or Niles show. Felt good today driving the Camaro to Medina. DanT said he's expecting to go to the 'bunch'.

My brother and I went to the Medina show today. I'm up in Ohio helping to take care of him after his surgery (our Governor allowed that before rescinding his order requiring a negative COVID test if you left PA for more than 24 hours). We got some shells and spare magazines. If you saw a guy built like a billboard wearing a Lou Groza Cleveland Browns jersey and walking with a cane that was me.

Went to Yankee Lake show today, Sunday. 76 mile ride to get there, same distance for me as the Canfield auto swap meet and for Cedar Point. I took Rt6 across to Rt11, down to Rt305, south on Rt7 down to the show. Got there about 11:30, many PA & NY plates in the parking lot, $5 admittance. Was told it was a small show, was not prepared for what I saw inside. It actually was a good sized show, good crowd for a ? Sunday, was told Saturday crowd was very good. Did a quick walk thru, some familiar vendor faces. Stopped at my primary magazine supplier and gave him some S&W magazines that he was in need of. Not much handguns, saw a few overpriced S&W revolvers. Many many rifles, not surprising as it's by the PA line and rifles are allowed to be sold to adjacent state buyers. Ammunition readily available in any caliber/cartridge at seemingly less/much less price than we've been seeing. Reloading die sets were to be had at many tables, reloading brass seemed everywhere (definitely not in short supply). Some powders available, but not much. I picked up some no longer manufactured powders that are my mainstay for handgun. Bullets for reloading was scarce, I did see some older Speer 38/357 caliber bullets of the old half jacket style, had I taken more cash I would've picked them up.
Was told that on Saturday, New York buyers were filling duffel bags with magazines and ammo to take back to NY.
Got a couple cheeseburgers (to take back) at the in-house food kitchen.
Took a different route home, Rt11 up to I90 for west to home, 98 miles return trip, 22 miles more than the 'to get there' route. Stopped at a rest area on I90 and had one of the burgers, pretty good.
Was told they're having another show there but not scheduled yet.
Covid masks, as I started the walk thru I noticed non-mask wearing people. Seemed like 50% of people were not mask wearing. Face to face distances were observed. Found out that mask wearing was up to the individual and not mandatory.

It's difficult to get 'newbies', I've gotten 2 new attendees past couple years with a new one for the upcoming 'bunch'. Shooting/firearms 'associates' need to be S&W aficionados or they're just not interested. And even then they have to have an interest in the revolver realm.

Get a vaccine or don’t risk yourself. The only effective mask is a N95. Anything else you might as well not wear one. Sorry but true.

Glad the sandwich ring is coming, it’s a big hit with everyone. Thanks
Roger, I did say to bring a mask to wear but won’t get into an argument with someone not wearing one or tell them to put one on. It’s their choice. Larry

2 weeks to go !!!
Looks like it's gonna be a 'small' 'bunch' based on the posts, but that's OK, eventually as the travelling & covid situation gets better we'll be back to normal attendance.
Akron show this weekend, I'll be going tomorrow Saturday.

Went to the Akron show today Saturday. Was there from 11:45 - 1:45. Seemed like a lot of car traffic exiting. Unusual light crowd for a Saturday.
Ammo availabilty seems to be making a comeback although still at elevated pricing, many tables had ammo. Didn't sell any of the ammo I took with me to sell.
Reloading components seem to be making a comeback too. Common brass of 9mm, 38sp, 40S&W, 45acp, 223, and 308 was there, pricing normal to a little high. No powders. Primers were typically $200 per brick. Larry, one dealer/table had Extreme plated bullets in 500ct boxes of 9mm (various weights) and 38 caliber. Pricing was $90-$100 per 500ct. He was selling well.
I acquired nothing, just socializing and looking.
Much discussion from the tables about the upcoming 'doom and gloom' because of the current/existing goverment and their new potential regulations. Some comments that gun shows as we know them won't exist by the fall. Ammo tables concerned that they won't be able to sell ammunition.

My brother and I were at the Akron show today too. We ended up getting some spare magazines, a knife and some food sauces. We were there for quite awhile, because we went through the whole show and walking with a cane I move a little slow. I can the confirm the $200 per brick asking price for primers. It was an impressive show to us. We stopped at Mayfield Guns on the way back to my brother's house.
So if Oldman10mm saw a guy walking with a cane together with a guy with a red vest with his arm in a sling that was me and my brother.

Larry...I know in the 1st post regarding the "Bunch" you stated "bring a mask to wear"...thank you for stating that...
Wouldn't it be nice if everyone attending the "Bunch" wore a mask? Hope they do...Roger

You'll be wearing it the rest of your life then. The virus ain't going anywhere, just like the flu and the billions of other viruses that exist in the world.
Also: read the label on your masks. It specifically says that it can't stop viruses. It's just physics.

I'm planning on Saturday also, won't be getting there until about noon, don't like waiting in line to get in.
This'll be the last of their 'cold weather' shows, next Berea show is in the other 3 buildings.

Why would you delete your old posts? We can handle opposing viewpoints without freaking out. They're your opinion.
To answer your question: No, I won't be wearing a mask ad infinitum because in my opinion the benefits are dwarfed by the negatives. You have an immune system already. If you get the virus you'll probably be fine. Masks don't help with viral transmission.

Penny and I are still planing on coming to the Meet, but I don't have any Smith's to show. All I've been buying are Single Action revolvers lately. I have another one on order too. A Taylor's & Co. .38-40 WCF with 4 3/4" barrel.

My apologizes for checking in so late. The recent health crisis has had everything to do with it. As of yet, still waiting for my shot, but have had a few shocks....from my defibrillator.
A text from a good friend prompted me to decide definitively that I will attend. Have not confirmed if my brother will attend or not.
Unless requested, I am not planning to display. Those who know me know the 3" big bore guns are my passion. If someone would like to see something in particular, let me know.

Larry,
I think I’m bringing my 45’s. I don’t have many, 4 I think?
Is our deal is still on?
Bob R,
If you were serious about your offer, I’d like to look at a 3” 24 and a 625 if you have them.
All,
If nobody has committed to bringing drinks, I’ll do it. Thinking, coke, Diet Coke, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, sprite and water. Any requests?
If you have already said you’ll bring drinks, just hollar. PLEASE.
I need a red box for a 2” 32 caliber, 5 screw, hand ejector.
Might be bringing a couple guests. My brother and a scary lookin biker dude, he’s harmless and loves revolvers. I’m converting him from the Colt side😜.
See you in a couple weeks!
Bob

Hey Bob (THEMULE) good to hear from you. Are you looking for 625's in 45ACP or 45Colt? I have both, as well as the model 24 which I can bring along.

Hey Bob, (themule) I was gonna contact you to see if you were bringing the drinks. Don’t bring toooo many, may be a lower virus turn out event. Just a regular and Diet Coke or Pepsi and a few water. If someone wants one out of the refrigerator, just swap one of our drinks. Thank you, thank you, thank You, Larry

Was at Berea today, Saturday, from 11:15 to 1:15. I looked for you Larry. A very large crowd, aisles were crowded. Acquired a box of Norma 10mm ammo and a quantity of 38cal 105gr PSWC style bullets (all my 38 brass needed bullets). Sold some 44cal 240gr SCW coated bullets.
Temperature warmed up by the time I was leaving and dropped by 20 degrees along the lake.
With no more shows prior to the 'bunch', I'll be bringing the unsold ammo and reloading components to the 'bunch'.
