It is finally crunch time UPDATE
MY GREAT GRANDSON CALLED ME AWHILE AGO AND SAID THAT THE SURGERY WENT WELL. HE HAD NOT SEEN HIS DAD YET BUT WAS VERY ENCOURAGED FROM TALKING TO SOME OF THE SURGERY TEAM MEMBERS. THEY SAID THAT HIS HEART STARTED BEATING ON IT'S OWN AND THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO START IT. HE WILL HAVE A NURSE WITH HIM BEING HER ONLY PATIENT(PROBABLY JUST TONIGHT). I AM SO RELIEVED.
I WANT TO AGAIN THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. YOU ARE SUCH A GOOD BUNCH OF PEOPLE.
My grandson goes in the morning at 8am for a four bypass surgery. They estimate it will take 6 hours. Only one person is allowed in the surgery waiting room and naturally that will be his son.
He is supposed to text my daughter as things progress and she will call me. I know that it is done all of the time but it still shakes the old man. The blessing is that he has a surgeon with a lot of experience.
It doesn't seem like fifty five years ago that I had to leave on TDY while my daughter was in labor. When I got back I immediately went to their house and got to see and hold him for the first time. I have a picture that my wife took and I still had my tie on. You know that I was in a hurry because normally that would have been off the minute I got in my car. I wore them but I didn't like em.

I really thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers. My daughter just got a call from the great grandson and they had just actually started on the surgery about 9:10.
