My daughter and grandson put the pressure on me about a year ago to get and wear the fall alert pendant. I did and wore it pretty consistently. Problem, the battery in the pendant is now dead and low in the other two units, the base and a unit that sits on my night stand.
I had just gotten a new 12 month package that included the alert system. The Cox store close to me cannot or will not change the batteries. I am referred to a Cox Home Life Nr. where they are supposed to come and change the batteries at no charge.
When I speak to the Home Life people they say it is up to the technician coding whether I am charged $75 or not. I am scheduled for tomorrow PM and before the tech sets his foot in my apartment I am going to find out if he is going to charge me. If he is, he can forget it and leave.
The system is included in my monthly bill and is Cox furnished equipment and should be maintained by Cox. If not, war is declared.
